After a depressing week I needed the cats. Thank you Lemmy

I had power buttons on one set of monitors in the worst possible spot, so I would leave them on after turning off my computer and just let them sleep. I quickly found out that every 15 minutes or so the monitors would come out of sleep shining all the glorious light into my face as I was trying to sleep. I since fixed the issue by turning off the power at the outlet.
We just had a meeting where HR told us to use the new AI in our payroll app before coming to see her. The GM mumbled "why are we paying for HR then?" Probably not a smart move on her part actively pushing for AI to replace her.
Worked at a laser tag place and everyone always said the arena area was haunted never really thought much of it though. There was one night I was turning off the arcade games and the switches were located in the staff room next to a door leading into the arena. As I started to flip the switches the door knob started to shake up and down rapidly. I ran out of the staff room and saw the other two workers sitting at the front desk. No one was in the arena.
Another instance at the same job I was fixing something in the arena in the morning as the tech and I heard someone walking up a ramp to another level of the arena. Only other person there was the owner who was in his office at the time.
Always creeped me out but it was fun to give everyone else a good scare from time to time.
Is this launching games through Steam? I had a similar issue launching games through Steam using gamescope and had to set some launch options. Unfortunately I am at work and can't remember what those launch options are but when I get back home I will add them.
Edit launch options: LD_PRELOAD="" gamescope -ef -W 3840 -H 2160 -r 144 --hdr-enabled --adaptive-sync --mangoapp -- gamemoderun %command%
As others have mentioned I think it was the "LD_PRELOAD=" that actually fixed the issue
thanks for using Leebra!
