This is exactly how I feel. Reddit is so full of bots, spam, and ads that it's really only good for checking a few niche subreddits. I can browse Lemmy at random and be pretty entertained.

I too will vote Harris, but I think it's important to understand that voting out of fear is not going to fix our extremely broken two party system. Voting third party is not a vote for Trump, I think it's often a vote born of a broken two party system.

Despite knowing that I can't bring myself to vote third party out of fear that I may not get another chance to vote if Trump takes power.

In addition the truck in front has to be imported to the US and there's weird regulations about purchasing them so you can only buy used. As far as I know you can't import a new model. If a car is newer than 25 years old it can not be imported unless it meets the requirements of US Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance.

I've written to many of my state and federal legislators over the span of 20+ years. it's not effective. We need campaign finance before, we need to overturn citizens United, and we need to change our two party system.

I think it is regulatory. However getting US politicians to do what's right is never trivial. It would take the legislative branch to change the regulations, while likely ignoring lobbyists within the automotive industry. It's fixable but it won't be fixed.
