Wow, they really want this movie to be a success, huh? I mean, I do hope it succeeds, but dang.

Most recently I think the [Dan Da Dan Season 1 OP] (https://youtu.be/A1dnxXrpN-o) was something special! To be honest, any Creepy Nuts song as an OP goes hard. For example, I am also a big fan of the Call of The Night Season 2 OP. Those are the best two I've seen recently anyway!
Heck yes. I feel like the first season had a satisfying ending, but I am also ready for more. I hope they can keep the same tone.
This is a fun manga, so hopefully it turns out well. I feel like this will be a nice comfort watch and not too much more. But hey, it's always important to have something to put on when you just want some warm fuzzies.
I can't help but be worried that this is happening with the aid of AI. Of course it could work that way, but only if there are people proofreading and ensuring quality. I'm optimistic, but nervous that we might see a drop in the quality of translations. Fingers crossed for the best case scenario, of course.
That sure was something. With this being considered a prologue (episode 0, I guess), I assume it's just setting up the characters and world before it really gets going. I wasn't completely sold yet, but I will say that the ending of the episode was enough to have me give it another episode or two before deciding if I'll watch it or not. It does remind me a bit of ATRI from last year, but hopefully much better. The main protagonist is at least a bit more likeable right off the bat.
That's... actually pretty cool. I wouldn't expect something like this from Shuiesha, but this is actually really awesome. It would make sense to have the early parts of these stories available for free to get people interested enough to pay for the rest.
They also call out in the about section that the translations are "done by professional translators", so hopefully that means not by AI. If Shuiesha is pro real translators, that seems like a good sign for the quality of translations done in general.
As a newer anime fan myself, I figured I'd throw my two cents in here. What started my interest in anime was actually going to an anime convention with some friends a couple of years ago. From there I began watching YouTube reviews like Mothers Basement and Glass Reflections and took their recommendations to find new stuff to watch. I eventually found that I actually prefer watching the seasonals as they come out, so I began doing that as well (and in doing so have really upped my number of watched shows). Beyond YouTube, I also listen to several podcasts (Anime out of Context and Quest for the Best, for example). I've hopped into several Discord servers, though I don't comment very often, if at all. I think there's no real wrong way to be "in the anime community". Just find the stuff you like to participate in and do that, though don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. You just might find another part of the community that you really like.
Interesting that they are removing it due to not seeing returns. Maybe it's just poorly phrased, but I figured the goal wasn't to make money, but to promote soft power. As far as that goes, it seems to be pretty successful, just look at all the high grossing anime movies. I wonder if other countries will try to take their place. I know some animation coming out of China has been crazy high quality, and Korea has been amassing for years with stuff like K-pop. Just seems like a strange time to start pulling back from having a larger presence on the global media stage.
Well that's exciting! Just saw this last Halloween, and it would be awesome to see on the big screen!
This might have been the best episode so far. The OWEL lady not trying to kidnap Amoru was a nice surprise. I feel like all the characters acted in a way that makes sense not only with their character, but also their current emotional states. If we can have more episodes like this, they might be able to make a true emotional arch for these characters, which would be very impressive.
And people were saying that they wouldn't be able to do it. I have heard that this one is an enjoyable manga, so hopefully the adaptation turns out well. Gonna definitely check it out.
That was such a cute scene! This episode was the best one so far, in a large part because the CGI was better, but also because of this scene.
That was as crazy and weird as I was hoping for. I've only read the first couple chapters, but I'm hoping this can be something special. Science Saru and Paru Itagaki designs look so good in this. Now that we've kind of learned the main conceit, I'm hoping it can really start digging into some good story soon.
I know that he has a lot of shockingly violent films. Almost snuff-esq from what I've heard. Though I've never seen any, I know that Ichi the Killer is well known for a disturbing amount of violence.
This visual alone convinces me that I should check this out when it drops. Beautiful art on this; it's simple but expressive! Haha, reading the synopsis, this might be an interesting companion piece to This Monster Wants to Eat Me! Hopefully it doesn't fall in to the anime original trap of having to rush it's story. Guess I'll have to wait and see!
Been reading this one since this was announced. I do really enjoy the manga, so I hope they do it well. I'm worried it will only get one season, so hopefully they end it on a satisfying conclusion.
Another good episode. This episode has assuaged my worries about the main character being one note. I like that we are getting to see more of other characters as well. Also, very cool to get into the headspace of an assistant. I think it's easy to think of assistants as playing second fiddle to the mangaka, but this shows how important they can be! Though I don't think giving massages is always required for assistants!
This show is really just building up baddies to make it satisfying to watch Scarlett beat the shit out of them. But dang if it isn't good at doing that. I think this adaptation does a pretty good job with the source material, from what I remember of it, so I'll definitely keep watching Scarlett beat down the bastards.
This one is surprisingly good. I think the animation is shockingly solid. The scene with the stall owner putting together the food was really nice. I like how everyone accepts that the henchmen are just part of the world. It really makes me want a full length series of this kind of thing. Kind of reminds me a bit of Acro Trip from last year, but focusing on the more adult side of things. I'm sad that this show isn't going to get credit for what it does do well.
thanks for using Leebra!
