Discord didn't replace forums imo, it replaced teamspeak, raidcall, mumble and Skype

It's infuriating how many times I've seen a locked thread with no answer linking to a similar yet different problem that doesn't solve my issue.

Known about lemmy for a while since the API protests, but finally took the chance to actually make an account due to this. I assume there will be a patch for this on revanced but meh

A lot of times I'll write out a comment and end up deleting it. Most times it's because I feel like it's something that's already been said or not worth reading but I'll try to be less of a lurker.

Because it shouldn't be used as a discussion forum. It's more similar to an irc and teamspeak

I wouldn't call trying to make plans with friends and meet new people then end up being ghosted or ditched as not taking initiative to socialize but alrighty. It's exhausting, and for nothing to come out of it for months on end makes it seem pointless.

I often have to use edge or chrome to do most if anything related to my classes or for pearson. Almost never wants to work on Firefox
