I was skeptical on the whole AI usage in software engineering, sweared on stupidity of the produced output, until I was given unlimited (so far) access to frontier models by my employer…
A good model is a 100x skill amplificator. There is nothing to amplify if you have no existing skill and I pitty new generations of engineers on how they will be ever able to learn, but damn…

Flat aerodynamic door handles.
This instance has made me realize that I am an anarchist. What a strange world… No regrets, thank you guys.
The left one, obviously.
While at the same time opening new positions for Pixel teams in Poland, for example.
Where do I subscribe for the updates?
The reason is SIMD instructions / vectorized assembly instructions with consideration for delay slots, instruction latency, memory access times etc., for which GCC and Clang optimizers are both terrible and cannot automatically transform C code to them in any but simple cases.
This is also a reason why specialized DSP processors with SIMD capabilities have dedicated proprietary compilers for them.
There is a real psychological effect to it. I think Mercedes was first to test it years ago. not with eyes but with a long LED light strip in the upper area of the front window. The goal was to communicate the "attention" of the vehicle to a pedestrian waiting to cross the street in a similar way that real drivers catch eye contact with pedestrians. This reassures the pedestrian that it is safe to cross the street - hey the guy sees me, I can safely go.
Without this feedback it has been found that people are overly cautious, not trusting the autonomous vehicles and it simply causes stress.
This is a real problem discovered years ago that has a novel funny solution instead of LED strip :)
If this goes through, I expect a closer look will be taken on other predatory practices concerning selling software (which games ultimately are) and possibly a precedent allowing to clearly put a hard stop to American understanding of "copyright" (as a "right to copy") and full embracement of native European originated "authorship rights", backed by current existing law for many many years in many of the members states. US anti-piracy organizations will not be happy, so following this line of thought - please prepare for a hard, dirty, unfair fight, with suspicious figures appearing with their backing to sabotage our efforts.
Longshot, but with this said, VP mentions SKG? That’s good, we need publicity! Let them understand we cannot be ignored and you don’t mess with gamers who were trained by their love for gaming to be stubborn, resilient and never give up.
This is important:
… but it's clear MEPs are becoming aware that they need to engage with the issue and work out where they stand.
These rich scumbags have artificially created a demand for themselves, but they hoped for more with pushing the AI scam. You know, sales must only go up etc.
Linux is the way.
It already started happening before LLM AI. Have you heard the joke that we were teaching our parents how to use printers and PCs with mouse and keyboard and now we have to do the same with our children? It’s really not a joke. We are the last generation that have seen it all evolving before our eyes, we know the fundamentals of each layer of abstraction the current technology is built upon. It was natural process for us to learn all of this and now suddenly we expect "fresh people" to grasp 50 years or so of progress in 5 or so years?
Interesting times ahead of us.
European here, the fuck are y’all talking ’bout. I have astigmatism and LED headlights are godsend, especially low beam. They have automatic leveling which prevents blinding if you put something in the trunk, the beam is wider and more controlled than from a lightbulb and the cutoff is razor sharp. Don’t get me started on automatic high beams with zones, like magic.
I just wonder if your experience is not swayed by illegal LED retrofits.
Next thing we are going to hear is that they were disappeared somewhere two hours before the ruling.
Hey, anyone care to explain what the fuck is wrong with Denmark?
