They can simply move over to Lemmy

A dream job is still a job. As someone who has been in the work force for 11+ years in a pretty cushy gig, this has never rang more true.

I thought this was just a US thing, but it appears that idiocy is on rise just about everywhere

Yup, there’s a Linustech tip video about this. HDD prices have kinda been set in stone for a good while now

It is ultimately a way to further cripple 3rd part apps. Thus, making the official Reddit app look better by comparison. It’s not certain if Reddit will get rid of porn, because while porn sub-reddits don’t generate ad revenue, a not insignificant portion of Reddit’s user-base visit porn sub-reddits, making Reddit a good one-stop-shop for a user’s media related need. So while porn doesn’t generate ad revenue, it brings users, users who also visit other non-porn sub-reddits that do.

Some of you will be laid off, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

As if the old outlook app wasn’t as …. Oh Shit! This is more egregious

Exactly! I’m at a stage in my life where I just want my stuff to work. A decade ago, I would be installing betas the moment they were available . But that version of me is gone.

Also there has been nothing particularly blood pumping about OS update for good few years now.

So we are in a Time Machine.

So what the fuck are we supposed to used them for ?

They won the battle, but they haven’t won the war. What u/spez’s actions have fomented, much like Elon Musk with Twitter is to create an opening for other platforms that would have never really had a chance at growing and competing with them.

It’s one of the reasons facebook moved quickly with threads(yes I know we dislike the likes of facebook), but Elon gave Zuck a freaking wonderful gift.

Hopefully, Lemmy picks up some serious steam.

Honestly! I don’t think a lot of people care about privacy.

How old are those machines?

We can pile on Google for all their issues, But I’m not sure AR/VR is going to the next big thing.

AR/VR is a thing, and it will be bigger as the technology improves, but I think Google, Meta, Sony, Microsoft and Apple are looking for the next multi-billion dollars blowout tech, but it’s not clear if that’s gonna be AR/VR.

I know we are still early in the 9th gen console era, but this seems to be the trend.

Take a game that the gamers loved from the 6th and 7th gen console era, and heavily rework the graphics and the games mechanics.

A good deal of time has passed since gamers last played those games. So, they are combining a healthy dose of nostalgia, modern graphics and game mechanics into a potent blend to make the gamers pay up for what is essentially an old IP, just reheated.

From the dev / publishers perspective, is a very low risk and decently high reward undertaking. A no brainer essentially.

Let me see if I can find it. LMG pumps out tons of videos

I’m not talking about the public stuff, because that’s not where the money is for Meta. Here is the stuff the Thread app collects

Now juxtapose that with what the Lemmy app collects.

Yeah! I just watched it and story-wise, it was meh. Good graphics, nice steampunk world. But it’s fundamentally a zombie story

wefwef is a shameless clone of Apollo. Mimicry is truly the best form of flattery. He copied from one of the best

😂😂 why?
