Banking and other finance related services are the only place where I don't mind KYC. Others I drop as soon as they request it and I seek alternatives.

But I will drop my online bank as well as soon google enforce the 'only verified developer applications'. 90% of my applications, incuding system applications like laucher, are not installed from the play store. I plan to switch to a linux 'phone' and only use services which are usable from a browser / without google securnet.

I don't think it is counts as D sucking of big corp if someone corrects invalid information. There are plenty of bad things corps do, we don't have to fabricate false claims, it's dangerous.

That was my 1st account... Not signed for porn, but I switched to lemmy in the first big migratory wave, and no other instance replied to my registration request. I even donated. Since then I have registered to many lemmy, but only this (reddthat.com) survived 😭

Endeavour Os was the best thing I ever used. Easy to install, out of box is minimal but sufficient. I traded my Linux Mint to be able to customize my workflow, look and feel.

There is not many vitamins in beer... thats why we should drink a lot to meet the quota!

Bing is down, and every engine that uses bing api.

Wow, Congratulation!

I searched a media downloader a while ago for android, and this works! Thanks for creating it!

I did. Not from a single thread, but many-many accumulating over the years, combined with other sources.

It is especially true with new topics which I don't have a pre-existing knowledge.

AGI is not the stuff we should fear at this moment or near future. Fascist billionaires holding most of our multimedia is way more scary. 100% of the humans do not think they can be manipulated, but here we are look around. Whoever controls the information will govern the world. Nobody cares, aside for gullible CEOs, about AI replacing human workers, its just used to squeeze extra money out of them. They only care about the mass manipulation potencial, which is already started. +Surveillance ofc, but we are already trained to give up our rights without even reading the terms.

The paiiiin! How many hours I lost because of this?

I went nuclear, when gaming was still hit or miss (only wine existed) since I only installed windows to update my BIOS. I advise to use a separate harddrive and do not do as I did: Used gparted to separate space for windows in my data drive, installed, updated the BIOS, used gparted to recover my initial state. I was sweating the whole time, but all of my data was intact.

Good bot!

My approach:

• try and error: Just experiment with things, change one single thing and observ what difference it makes (Eg.: season half batch before, half batch after)
• Research on the internet, I mean there are tons of blogs/forums where ppl sharing their experience, just be mindfull, and take everything with a grain of salt (hah!) (Eg.: One anon in reddit collected brownie recips and methodically tested and documneted each approach and what difference it makes, so technically his/her/they recipe is not a single one, but a collection family of recipts where you can choose your desired results)
• Educational-Cooking channels, there are plenty of cooking channels which are showing the underlining science and connections, just to name a few: MinuteFood@yt, aragusea@yt or if you want hardcore data: Talon_Fitness@yt

Both, they are not mutually exclusive.

Yes, (neo)vi(m) has different modes, in normal mode the characters are shortcuts, hjkl is used for navigation. However other methods are prefered, w, e, b - jumping words, f,t - jumping to a specific character etc. Its way faster. Also it can be combined d2w (d)eletes the next (2) (w)ord. Or more advanced di" (d)eletes the text (i)nside the "..."

Insert mode is what you except: it writes what you type. Can be accessed by i - (i)nsert before a - (a)append after. Going back to normal mode is ESC (or many configure tab)

Nice collecion you have there! Just got my hand on a large cardbox worth of jars. Almost all of them have caps as well. My plan is to slowly clean and fill them up, just like you did! Also I recently found out (by a foodwaste prevention program) that I have plastic-free shop not too far away from me.

Except if you use kitty terminal emulator with unsecure remote access. Issue

Then with cat, you could execute arbitrary commands...

It depends on the person, do they want to just use something which can open the browser, office suite, and occasionaly some games/programs without uderstanding anything, or they like to tinker, and customize, break and repair their system. I recommend Mint/Eos/Arch based on the willingness of thinkering. Cinnamon is easy and straight forward, KDE is not.

Jeee EOS gang!

Arch user (btw) here. I use xorg and a custom tiling window manager. I had 0 breakage regarding my config. Nvidie fked me 2 times and grub was broken 1 time. Thats it. 10 years 3 chroot. Pacman runs when I feel like it. I used two weeks to configure my setup, and I hardly ever change a thing nowdays.

Tried Hyperland on an "old" thinkpad, each update broke something. So no thanks, I'll stick to mature, battle tested components, where my config and sanity will remain stable, and leave the tamagotchi for ricers/thinkerers.
