There would be no more internet access for anyone anymore if that were allowed.

Soooo many insecure networks out there ripe for the picking if you know what you’re doing and have the tools available. And the tools are often free, not costing any money. From there, those networks are the places people will go to commit their “piracy”.

And what exactly is piracy? If I purchase an album on iTunes but choose to download it on ThePirateBay, is that really piracy? Because I have done that when the music THAT I FUCKING PAID FOR is no longer available for me to download off of iTunes and Apple won’t give me a refund for said music purchase. People do it for games that include shitty DRM and don’t allow them to easily install on another device like Linux too.

And I bet you it pulled the right Terminal as you typed “term” but as you finish it, it pulls this bullshit.

She’s been outed as not being the nice person she appears to be on TV. There was a big controversy a few years ago that some of her crew had a lot of stories about her behaviors behind the camera that show that she wasn’t such a nice person to the people who helped make her show a reality.

I don’t remember specifics, but it’s not hard to find if you go looking for videos or articles on it. From what I remember, it was the typical diva sort of behaviors like don’t look her in the eye and being rude to others. Nothing too too serious like sexual assault but still not nice stuff and people view her as a phony since.

There were also some things she did to guests like when she “forced” Mariah Carey to reveal she was pregnant by offering her alcohol and Mariah basically had to admit she was pregnant as to why she wouldn’t drink alcohol. Kind of a shitty thing to do to someone.

Well he’s wrong because all console games eventually come to PC one way or another. He’s just ensuring they won’t be coming first under their control.

We pull back too much because Islamic nutjobs will get violent because you dared draw a picture that resembled their stupid prophet. By doing that, we are giving them what they want and telling other religious groups that if they get violent enough, we’ll stop to appease them too.

You can mock Jesus, Moses, Krishna and any other religious figure because their followers, at worse, are going to verbally protest, if they do anything at all. But draw fucking Muhammad and people will tell you to knock it off because we don’t want to upset the assholes who will riot and kill people because they can’t handle someone having a differing opinion. Society bends over backwards to not offend Islam out of fear.

In response, we should have doubled down. Make more cartoons, get more vulgar with it…go all in, not stopped to appease them. Some people did for a while immediately after the attack, but not enough and not long enough, imo.

One of the differences is that Osama bin Laden was not the leader of any recognized state in the world whereas Putin is.

Putting a literal bullseye on another country’s leader would be seen as an act of war.

Also, the US is not currently in (direct) war with Russia while the US was with Osama’s group.

As part of our commitment to SoulCrafted content, MyMiniFactory has adopted a zero-tolerance stance on AI generated content on our platform.

Thingiverse is now a SoulCrafted platform. In practice, that means we'll be taking steps to reduce and eventually remove AI-generated designs from the site.

That is really interesting. I wonder how they are going to find those and remove.

Even before the boom of AI, I remember seeing a lot of random crap of unusual shapes just being added together and uploaded. I wonder if they’ll remove those too.

Time for everyone to purge Google Chrome from their systems. Google needs to learn the hard way that people aren’t going to tolerate this kind of hostility and reminded that they aren’t the only browser.

Unfortunately I’m thinking the general populous is going to eat this up for the same reason as everything else authoritarian: convenience.

“Oh look honey, it’s so convenient now that my ID is on my phone! I already carry this thing everywhere. Why not also my phone and I can leave my wallet at home??”

I really want everyone to fight this. This is not going to end well.

I believe sometimes they fail no matter what because of a condition on your end.

I’ve encountered this behavior when I’m connected to a VPN or on Tor or sometimes because I’m running Linux. I think they will sometimes fail no matter what under these circumstances because the website is too lazy to actually put some effort in additional steps to vetting you.

I guess the next step in piracy is to change the apk enough that it doesn’t get recognized correctly, if that’s possible? Though then everyone will have to worry about malware-ridden apps.

I think this is horrible, aside from piracy, because you may want or need to stay on an older version of an app. I have had to for devices at work that require a specific version or just an easy way to manage the device and ensure devices only got updates we approved through our MDM.

The US is currently giving away free test kits to all Americans, shipping is also free so this will only cost you your time.

They allow 4 per household and the tests do expire, but I feel everyone should get these to have on hand just in case they believe they have symptoms.

Oh it goes deeper than that.

Check out their FAQ. They’re cool with the dehumanization of males too. They’re only advocating for “dehumanization” against females.

A game about torturing women? Unacceptable.

A game about torturing men? Acceptable 👍

They mention some bullshit about how one happens more often and the other doesn’t so that justifies being hypocrites.
