Conservation efforts are financed very heavily by hunters. Game tags, licenses, etc. So yes they should be conservative and also they are, but generally only with regard to preservation of wilderness with respect to health and population of game.

Drive by shooting in Chicago's south side, obviously the first thing that comes to mind is... Trump?
The simplest explanation is that humans built it. Alien technology is not required to accomplish building the pyramids. But that isn't quite the same as the evidence required to prove it. Having said that, it's an unnecessary question, just as relevant as any other random and baseless theory. It's just not worth discussing.
BBC is state sponsored news, so you get whatever the state wants you to think. Always been that way.
I'm imaging a really stupid person reading the billboard and saying "yep that's me". Then I'm imaging another stupid person saying "What? I'm not afraid of smart people!", and then deciding to switch parties. But then I realized that it's a meme and it isn't actually meant to change anyone's mind.
It started while Biden was in office due to instability in the region of central America that functioned as a wall to the rest of North America, so there is some truth to it. Trump cutting funding was the wrong thing to do at the wrong time, but the problem was already well under way when he took office.
That's a pretty weak argument, but his only strong argument has to go against the system itself, lose, then fight it up to the supreme court and try to argue somehow that it was justified. He's pretty much screwed because i don't see that happening.
What's weird about the shoe throwing incident is that everyone loves it, across the political spectrum. Maybe for different reasons, but nevertheless.

I don't think people are celebrating because of who he was, but because of what he represents to them.
It's not small talk, because i actually care how my wife's day was.
Yes but a lot of people who think they stand for something instead fell for anything.
Truck size growth is driven at least partially, if not mainly, by gas mileage regulations, where you can have lower gas mileage on larger vehicles, an allowance that was made to accommodate work vehicles. So people who want a powerful vehicle are forced to go bigger. If these regulations were relaxed or eliminated, we would have much smaller but still powerful trucks. I'd be interested in something like that...
Stevia leaves a disgusting after taste and is an immediate deal breaker for me in any drink.
You don't have to be neurodivergent to have an opinion about fork shapes. Also 2 is the best.
It's more of an assassination in my opinion.
It's a little jarring seeing a post like this alongside a post celebrating the possibility of jailing people for doing a nazi salute. Anyway to answer your question, some people cannot function in society. They are dangerous, and the only way to prevent them from harming others is to isolate them from society.
Yes, and literally nobody voted for kamala in the Primaries. And yet she was the candidate.
Not sure why the knee jerk hate on this one. I like the idea of opening up academic articles and other materials for free and open use.
There are a lot of people, especially on lemmy, who see everything through the lens of their personal ideology and utterly lack the ability to empathize or understand different views or life situations. You only matter to them insofar as to how it can advance or support their ideology. It's pathological, and their views should be ignored.
