For god's sake can corporations and governments stop trying to control and survey people do the job of parents and society. If parents are not doing their job then you need better awareness and education not to take over.

Yeah some time ago I used to respect these companies I remember when Google condemned the Egyptian government's actions in 2011 and one of the very popular activists in the revolution was the head of marketing in Google MENA. But now the truth has never been more obvious to me. Individuals may or may not care but corporations will never care.
Thing is peertube is still pretty much new and empty. I didn't find much content that I would be interested in or even an interesting community. Although I see its potential as a social platform I don't think it will ever replace YouTube (at least for me) as it wouldn't give creators the financial incentive to use it.
unlucky
I don't think it's unlucky just stupid. In bdsm we have something called RACK (risk aware consensual kink) where before a scene or activity you have to study risks, anatomy, and physiology as deeply as you can and then do negotiations with your partner where you discuss all the risks and establish safe words and alternative non-verbal cues, and everything that could go wrong and the protocol that will be followed if it does go wrong, while changing things and substituting some aspects with others that would achieve the same goal but more safely.
You also generally don't participate in extreme activities with a new partner especially if someone is inexperienced.
I believe whether this was to cover up something or not, Israel is using intimation tactics to keep eyes and cameras away from them. We have a saying in Arabic that goes "hit the one with the leash to scare the loose" basically you attack non-threatening individuals to scare away actual threats.
You guys are also forgetting that the Golan Heights since 1981 and recently southern Syria are illegally occupied by Israel and heavily militarized. Which has caused the locals to move away that of itself may be argued to be a crime. So if you wanna maintain opsec go ahead but not when the operation is about stealing land and harassing locals.
Do few graves really matter when all the homes around them are leveled out probably with dead bodies in them. (I don't know if this particular area was evacuated or not but in other places civilians where bombed inside their homes)
Westerners also seem to forget that the UK, France, and US are mostly to blame for all the instability and war in the middle east, forgetting (intentionally or not) the colonial and imperialist past of their governments when they were committing war crimes and dismissing the will and needs of entire populations for decades before the idea of non-europeans also having rights became popular.
We do that in Arabic too. It's called "badal", a figure of speech where you replace "the whole" with "the part" to emphasize that part's importance in the context; in this case that would be either where the government is located in the country or where the report originated from.
For example when Arabic news agencies want to refer to the USA's government they say Washington or the white house. Since that's usually where the news come from.
As a computer engineering student who has just got into this whole fediverse thing recently I find the concept of decentralised social media to be pretty mesmerizing. I didn't think people would actually seek the ability to cross-communicate too.
I'm not that familiar with video editing but community presets come with a strong community so as open source software becomes better there's a good chance a community will develop with it and make custom presents, plugins, and forks.
I hate that Adobe has almost a monopoly on a lot of different kinds of programmes.
I've already switched my pc to Linux. I'm willing to switch my phone to Linux too. My only problem with current alternatives is that none of them feel like a finished product Software-wise. And hardware-wise I have a galaxy ultra so the downgrade would be a lot especially in the performance and cameras.
We need a Linux based/Open-source alternative that could compete with the likes of Apple, Google, and Samsung. It's not impossible especially with current available technology, but I can see why the market incentives are very low.
I was hoping new laws could at least keep the status quo for a bit longer but it turns out as always relying on politicians is a bad idea.
