@mstdn.games

Hi there, my name is Andy, I'm from Belgium.
I spend most of my free time digitising and restoring classic video game magazines, mostly from the UK.
I've been doing this for over 20 years now and I'm here to share my passion for these magazines with others.
I love to read and talk about gaming memories from years gone by.

My main hobbies are gaming, both modern and retro gaming, as well as Japanese, South Korean and classic Hong Kong cinema.

That 100% has to be a false positive.
No idea why it might be getting flagged.
There's nothing in there that doesn't directly come from me.

Just a folder with jpg files, zipped up with a lossless setting and renamed to .cbz to be readable by coming cook reader apps.

@scribblemacher@mstdn.games
You can really see the GoldenEye DNA in them as well. Especially in the first two.
The third one expanded on it to a ridiculous degree.
I love all of them. 😊

@JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world

It's gorgeous, isn't it?
When I was scanning this issue, the page immediately jumped out at me and I just had to take a minute to take it all in. 😊

@SidewaysHighways@lemmy.world

People at work are complaining about the weather and as someone who bikes to work and gets to ride nearly an hour a day through the wind and rain, I definitely understand.

But the Halloween season is without a doubt my favourite, so I'm stoked now that it's starting to get darker earlier and the weather is getting colder. πŸ˜…

@dditty@lemm.ee

The Switch online version will be the original Japanese one, but the game is easily playable, even in Japanese.

I imported it back in the day and absolutely loved it.
I think it was my favourite in the GBA trilogy although it's been quite a while since I last played them.

@Pirky@lemmy.world
I actually never played the multiplayer.
Looks like I really missed out.
I don’t think I ever completed any of the games, but the past few months, I’ve been thinking of going back to them.

They just don’t seem to make them like this anymore which is a real shame.

@istoff@lemmy.world

I'm not very well versed in the micro scene myself as I never owned a C64 or Amiga or anything like that back in the day.

I started on arcade and pinball machines in the late 70's and throughout the 80's and then got into consoles with the NES and Master System.
So my knowledge of those kinds of things is super basic, and that's putting it mildly.

But you should be able to find a bunch here:

Look at the earlier CVG issues that they have also btw.

@donuts@lemmy.world

The DS Lite is still the perfect handheld to me.
Looks gorgeous, feels absolutely perfect.
The only downside is that my eyes are getting worse and worse as I get older, so the smaller screen is a bit harder for me to enjoy.

Me too. 😊

Try to look up the demo for the beta version of the Saturn release which was originally planned.
They were working on the game as a whole it seems and didn’t quite know where it would’ve cut into separate parts.

That one is truly legendary.
I can somewhat understand people getting angry about it, but I just found it funny.
Masterfully played. πŸ˜…

@lurch@sh.itjust.works
There are actually two games on the PS2. The second one is spectacular.
There is also a third one on the GBA, which is an SRPG.
