Absolutely my first job was fast food, and I had no clue the level of entitlement of some people. Some people treat fast food employees like they're not even people.

Java in a large way has been eclipsed by most other languages, and developers kind of have a way of making fun of old technologies, like a lot of the same jokes are made about PHP which is still very popular but outdated. In reality Java is also still incredibly popular and knowing it is certainly a benefit. It's just a collective joke.

What I do is open up a window and get it all set up at the beginning of my day, and then I tell myself some number of hours in advanced that I'm going to go just 20 minutes of that work. So it tricks my brain because its already set up and ready to go, its so far in like 6 hours so I can relax for now, and when the time comes its been on my radar for so long it feels like I can't just not do it at that point and its only 20 minutes I'll have to slog through. By the time the 20 minutes is up I'm already in the swing and got momentum going so I then don't stop.

I personally feel like it does present a fair argument. He presents both sides and their positive effects it has, personally I'm all for ways to make America less car centric, but I think he's right that this is going to make life impossible for those on the margins, and those people are those who likely don't even have a car in the first place. Why should the poor be punished to make the lives of rich people nicer. Congestion pricing should come after the subway is actually made usable, and not be a price so the rule actually applies to rich people as well.
