@mastodon.social

Something professional for a long time, now I take photographs.
A bit techie, somewhat political, rather English.
I started on another instance which ceased to be comfortable.

A tiger might have reasonably concluded that it was being attacked. But it was probably used to dinner dropping in.

@Armand1
Ever this.
Deep in our countryside the villagers congregate in the old churches (occasionally) and profess Xianity and are suspicious of those from the next village.
And may vote Reform, or Tory.

Good ideas.
(The UK does have States, they are England, Scotland, Wales and the Province of Northern Ireland.)

@undefined @turbowafflz
Plenty of negotiation goes on via a pair of pins in the round upper part of the plug.

But.

Charging with AC has a practical limit of the current/power available on the single phase usual for households.
That's 7 kW

Given a 3 phase supply you can supply more, but to take 11kW (as for my ID.3) the car needs to have been built with 2 rectifiers, and feed 1 phase to each.
To take 21kW you need 3 which is _unusual_.

PHEVs are mostly bullshit, but a use case is ...

...use case ...
Charge overnight at home;
Drive to work, 12-20 miles away, electrically;
Charge at work;
Drive home.

How big is the battery on these?
4 miles/kWh on a good day.

The onward market continues.

@SubArcticTundra @Biscuitt
I suspect nobody is stupid enough to suggest* it is causation.
However, the two probably have a #common #cause, which leads to a sort of correlation deserving urgent attention, and directing it's focus, laser-like or not.

* There may be some cynical enough

@givesomefucks @Stormwind

Asylum seekers more at risk from rightwing sex-offenders I'd think.

#SciFi In the #CosmonautsKeep trilogy #KenMacLeod introduces a leaflet internally called "Greetings Ignorant Savages" which is distributed to travellers on their starships to tell them what is not permitted to be done by them, or to them.

Taking the phrasing as synoptic, it seems a good idea.

@crapwittyname @Poppa_Mo
It would be reasonable to assert Mr Musk should be advised not to travel here.

Nothing to do with what travel other people have been allowed or stopped from.

The error is "yes but".
