American here, so you have paid time off but greedy American capitalism boss can deny for any reason. Not enough staff, busy company time, favoritism, or simply fuck you I dont like you.

Some companies can give you monies at the end of year for your paid time off, but some don't and it's wasted due to greedy capitalism boss and given to the company casue companies have better rights then people.

For example my company and boss I work for is cool about giving time off when requested, however starting next year my company will not pay out unused PTO because reasons.

My profession is whatever job I can get with a HS diploma. Right now it's a crane operator, I climb 1-3 stories to troubleshoot problems for a warehouse in 34f or -15f. Actually not bad, coworkers on my shift are pretty cool, pay is good, benefits not bad. Just allot to learn with the program and system they use. Still in training, wish my luck keeping this job till I get a college degree or trade.

Same, I applied of for food stamps and medicaid after my kid was born. My kid got medicaid, we did not. I got 50$ a month, that's like half a single grocery trip. I called saying "this must not be right" The lady belittle me saying "do you know how food stamps works?!"
