Huh? What did I miss?
@slrpnk.net
Real cool, but a bit intimidating for me đ . For example: what does "doublestrength" calcium and magnesium mean? I only got generic mineral salts for a nutrient solution at home. Do I need stuff from the pharmacy? I'm only at the kratky-bottle stage of experiments.
This is not to take the heat off of Trump and his coterie of tradcath fascist weirdos, but to extend it to the more "normal, respectable" fascists who also richly deserve it, but who we have been taught to view as lesser or necessary evils. Good cop, bad cop, ACAB.
Yes, that is pretty much the gist of it.
On ML, they often complain that "authoritarian" is a liberal buzzword to make foreign governments seem scary. And they do have a point here, because it is used like that in liberal discourse.
However, I think the word is still useful, as long as you don't selectively apply it and also use it to criticize liberal democracies.
Eww, I got classist identity politics propaganda in my feed.
Don't spread classist propaganda. Overalls are sturdy trousers for heavy work. The one on the top's job is to look pretty. The one on the bottom does some hard, manual labour in these clothes.
I'm not saying one's better than the other. Just that these people are graded on the same scale thah different jobs don't satisfy.
Paraphrasing Daniel Baryon from his Work "a modern anarchism":
Authoritarian is the description of a system that behaves in such a way that institutional power is concentrated into the hands of a minority.
I get it. Fuck subscription based licences.
But I remember that you could keep the last version you subscribed to after subscription ended, which is way better (and the way Adobe products used to work).
Am I wrong? Or did they change that?
