For those who didn't read the article, the game is already released, it's the Paper Mario Thousand Year Door remake. In the Japanese text of the original gamecube release, Vivian was a trans character. The English localisation of the Gamecube release cut out all references to her being trans.

The article is saying the Switch remake's English translation now contains the cut dialogue that fleshes out Vivians backstory.

I would definitely pull the lever, it looks like AI designed the track to crash into itself. Is this how AI will save the world, through it's own incompetence? 😝

Yeah I love kurzgesagt but it did feel like they were swallowing the koolaid. They did end on saying that they want companies to be held more accountable and regulated which is definitely the right position to have, but it felt like they were anthropomorphising the AI's a lot which felt gross

In this scenario I would add some dishwasher powder to some hot water and leave it for a while, the enzymes digest the fats and can be much more effective in some circumstances

It is endlessly amusing to me that the same USA that used to bellow FREEDOM at any opportunity has ended up here. Amusing and soul crushing

Wish I hadn't read the full page and found out about a dolphin's suicide... They ran out of funding and let the dolphin's living conditions deteriorate

My favourite video of the year so far

I'm a baby millennial born in 95 and I also want to be retired plz

I'm also an aussie and never seen the show, but I'm assuming the show is/was a reality TV show so they came on during the 90's and the couple gave their backstory as just business partners.

Someone recently watched re-runs and made a post commenting that they're clearly were actually a couple, That post went "viral" the couple saw it and commented with proof that yeah they were gay all along.

Soy sauce would work like an ink. Here's a picture of watercolour inks, each column is one ink, with each row representing how much ink is soaked in.

Email is an odd choice, but now you can save the email for a future momento

I tried making more small talk with strangers, almost all of the time the other person was receptive and it was lovely.

Every now and then, and this is maybe like 1 in 20, the other person didn't seem happy about it. That didn't inspire confidence, but I have kept going. Causing someone to have a slightly awkward experience is nothing to lose sleep over, it's just a part of life. Do it

Unburnt kikkoman

"You" is part of the lyrics

I was born 95, but I was the youngest kid. I was exposed to a lot of 90's stuff that I probably wouldn't have been if not for that, like the snes felt really crusty and old by the time I would have been old enough to get my own console, but I grew up mirroring the excitement of my older peers for stuff like SMW and Plok. I miss a lot of stuff from the 90's and I was only ever 4 or younger in it hahahaha

These are all over the place in Melbourne and they're delightful

If anyone wants to play without paying for NYT, I play this version with friends https://bee.ignoble.dev

I'm not sure this is exactly what OP is talking about, but I like this video that addresses the surreal and contradictory nature of these types of stories https://piped.kavin.rocks/watch?v=9p5Oi4wPVVo

I think you have most of the elements in place and it looks pretty good already.

If you want advice on how you could improve it... I just sketched this, each drop should have lighting similar to this. Sharp bright white reflection of where the light is hitting it at the top, directly under that, (still at the top) you have a subtle blurry shadow. At the bottom you have a blurry subtle highlight, then under you have the shadow being cast by the drop.

All of those elements will look different depending on the size/shape/angle of the drop, angle of the lighting, whether a shadow would block lighting etc.

Look at lots of reference images to compare different conditions to get an idea of how the light in the drops behaves :)
