So long lemm.ee and thanks for all the trash. Now @RaccoonBall@lemmy.ca

Bodycams are making a lot more of these available now too. Saw a brutal one where cops paralyze a handcuffed guy by breaking his neck, then they sit prop him up in a sitting position and complain that hes uncooperative because won't move.
That was a year ago, the dude is dead and the cops got off scott free.
"Just"
Thanks I'm cured
Was it ingress? If so you bastards better not be team blue.
We didn't start the fire.
It was always burning, since the world's been turning
Iirc they can compel you to provide passwords at the border. You have far fewer rights at the border than once in the country
I always perfer FOSS whenever possible.
I figure if someone out there is working on a project and wants me to use it, I owe it to them to at least give it a shot.
Occasionally, the proprietary stuff is the only option. And occasionally-occasionally that company isn't worth supporting or the price is unreasonable or more than I could afford. In which case, perhaps some seas are sailed.
I thought self hosting was about learning networking basics like DNS and setting up let's encrypt.
So much whining in here about the most simple stuff being too complex.
That would get them a lot of publicity
It's a pint. Just not a US pint.
No, sadly most of the abuse never makes widespread news
And if you dont have ECC zfs just might save your bacon when a more basic fs would allow corruption
They're a one day old account posting nonsense. They aren't serious
Wow, getright! That's a throwback. I used that in the 90s.
On linux I use aria2c for similar tasks. It can resume http downloads, as well as split them up into multiple threads for faster downloading.
It's cli-based and powerful (therefore perhaps a bit confusing at first), but there are UIs for it as well for a more get-rightty experience.
I think jdownloader also has some application here, though it's mostly for getting things from those ad-filled file hosting sites frequently used by those on the high seas
yt-dlp is my go to. It's the open source project most other things use behind the scenes
Shift +f10 to open a command prompt in the installer
OOBE\bypassnro
It reboots and restarts the out of box experience, but this time 'I don't have internet' will be available as an option
Bonus tip, don't choose a password either, as it will force stupid recovery questions. You can add that after first boot with net user on the command line.
He trusts that his followers don't, anyway. Based on some arguments I've seen online, he's right about that.
Complete nonsense. Enterprise drives are better for reliability if you plan on a ton of writes, but ZFS absolutely does not require them in any way.
Next you'll say it needs ECC RAM
I feel like most people don't even check their ISP email anymore. Why use that instead of the Gmail you've had for 18 years.
Trump isn't the representative of the US? That's great news but it's not aligned with reality
I love the musical instrument loan programs. I loaned a violin for a month to test out whether I wanted to learn to play it.
I like it and the experience gave me enough of an understanding of the instrument to feel comfortable buying a used one to continue on with.
I don't think I ever would have started learning it without the library program, the instrument is so intimidating
thanks for using Leebra!
