I'm not a religious person, but I think some views in this thread are coming off a bit narcissistic and ignorant. Religion has been a large part of humanity for literally forever, and people can't expect it to just go away completely. People turn to religion for comfort, often when they won't receive it in other ways. There will always be someone in the world who needs religion, and we all need to coexist. The important thing here is he is attempting to drive his members to be empathetic and improve moral compass. Just be grateful for that at least. People expect too much.

Even that isn't enough unless you have a lot of money laying around and some kind of support network in whatever country you plan to escape to.

Just keep pushing for a better society that doesn't need to lean on religion for comfort, and that dream may come true. But not forcing people to abandon things. That just makes resentment.

The right way to use one certainly doesn't feel elegant. You just have to flip it around a lot while facing down at the sink and hope you don't snipe a spider on the ceiling by accident.

Unfortunately, the way many companies are set up these days, they require employees to use multiple different web applications to do their job. And if you're a developer, you need many different tabs for testing scenarios.

A large chunk of the population gets their info from Fox News and News Max etc. Many of my extended family unfortunately. They think that is reliable information and can't be convinced otherwise. When I try to bring up facts they give me this look like I'm the crazy one spreading the lies. It's a really sad state of affairs, they are genuinely good people otherwise. I think there are too many assumptions that people just wanted what we're about to get.

Exactly why I heavily limit the amount and specifics of what my kids watch on it. Sadly I know too many kids that have been literally raised on YouTube, and they already act weird af.

They are trying to break through the misinformation being fed to Republicans. And trying to ensure anyone on the fence otherwise doesn't have any excuses.

The most tragic thing about power creep to me is that older cards with very unique artwork will not see the light of day again. Another artist, Quinton Hoover, is one of my favorites that has had nearly all his cards become useless. Regeneration is amazing art.

First thought I had when I read this was "I don't remember being asked this question". This feels like when a game or small business schmoozes a tabloid to give them a "best of" award. They are building echo chambers around their business to justify profitable decisions.

This would be fun in very specific use cases and for a very specific audience of people. But otherwise it's a lot of trouble and people would hate doing it most of the time. A true gimmick.

After making coffee at home and figuring out exactly the way I like it to be made, I hardly ever consider rolling the dice on one if I can help it. Getting it while out and about is only for when I have no other choice (not being home for a long time). The cost savings are just gravy.

Besides the obvious enshitification and shrinkflation going on in this game, I think this is going to accidentally ruin some people's private draft nights when they discover they don't have enough packs to run it for their attendees.

They are really testing the patience of their loyal customers these past couple years. And I've officially had enough and called it quits after Duskmourn.
