It's pretty much the same as the green N sign in BC, though as far as I know only NS and BC require displaying a symbol for new drivers so we're relatively unique amongst Canadian provinces.
Judges should start requesting appearances from Trump and his underlings, to answer for their statements that precede or come after these vindictive abuses of justice.
If the administration is allowed to run their mouth and do blatantly illegal BS on the daily, the courts need to start filling up the administration's schedule with legal summons until it stops. Wielding great power requires taking responsibility for any time it is misused.
Agreed with your first and second points, crime definitely is a separate discussion, I'm mixed on that.
Recall that I wrote "...had exhausted its usefulness", implying it was good, but unlikely to be as effective going forward.
In current day tech, East Asian characters are taken from a combined set called "CJK unified ideographs". When regional variants exist, the language it renders as depends on the font of the user's device.
There was a recent example that came up: 骨(bone) has the little square on the left in Simplified Chinese and on the right in Japanese. With Hiragana it's more obvious because of all the curvier letters, but with kanji only phrases even smartphones tend to mix it up.
I can't tell between Hungarian, Romanian, Bosnian, Albanian, Czech or Slovak, because I haven't really studied any of them or know any words. In the Cyrillic field, Belarusian, Russian, Ukranian (except for the existence of ï), Bulgarian, Serbian I probably couldn't be able to tell you what faced with a random paragraph of text.
There's a cabal of rich people, some of them potentially pedophiles who are pulling the strings in society... except many of them are his friends and benefactors, and he's been awfully quiet since the Epstein files got partially released...

I already wrote about what's different back in Oct 2023 in response to a complaint reminiscent of yours. Most important bit:
That’s what you will have to deal with in the de-centralized model, and I think it strikes a decent balance of allowing open communication, resisting overall censorship while still allowing some groups to censor out what they consider bad vibes.
Be careful what you wish for...
we would still be in a better position in a minority big C Conservative government than we are right now with a majority small c conservative governent.
You might not have been aware of the full stakes and nuances of the situation in late 2024, early 2025. At around December 2024, Trudeau was so unpopular that Poilievre was in clear majority territory, not minority if an election were held then.
This is more a matter of opinion, and I agree what we have is not a great situation, but do you really think that having Pierre in charge, with a cabinet of emboldened racists and a coalition of a group of conservative Liberals would be better than this? Metaphorically I see it as having Pierre in the driver's seat with Liberals with them in the front and the NDP backseat driving in the opposition, versus Mark in the front, with the NDP and the Cons together in the back with PP unable to find a compelling message.
Plus, getting Lewis to unapologetically push left-wing ideas for us I think is a better strategy than Singh's centre-left conciliatory approach that had exhausted its usefulness. The orange wipeout was, rightfully IMO, a wakeup call for the Canadian left.
Seems like a fine way, but the number of rules and exceptions seem about equivalent to the "2-category, 5 sub-category" method of learning it.
And it is mentioned already but si = shi, ti = chi, tu = tsu rules should already be ingrained by the time you get to conjugation, there are very few practical examples of てぃ words etc. in hiragana, so I really don't think a learner needs to fuss too much over that.
Tip culture is awful, USA and Canadians including myself need to get over this "pay by donation after you've already paid" model. I'll do it but no one outside of here should lose sleep over it.
Tips should mainly be given for "better than expected" service. I tip taxi drivers, barbers and servers on a sliding scale between 10-30%, points for if it's on a Sunday night or holiday weekend, if they accommodated a larger group during a busy time, were especially personable or did specific things to help celebrate an occasion. Everything outside that and "pay before you get the service" model earns about $1-2 tips maximum from me.
Third spaces mean specifically places that aren't home or work/school that you can spend your free time by yourself or with others. Cafes, malls, arcades, libraries, parks, community centres, hobby clubs, and bars (for adults).
Many of these places have become less accessible, especially for children and teenagers. Either farther and fewer between or more expensive.
