Ha! Cats, never change. I was on my roof fixing my satellite dish which is on a mast, and got the surprise of my life to suddenly feel my cat butting my ankles. I did not know he could climb a ladder.

I would guess the main purpose of the hatch is to prevent the dogs freely leaping between yards unsupervised.
Yeah, a lot of people don’t know shit about computers. When I was working as a commissioning engineer, we would ping devices after using bootp to make sure the setup was successful. I got so many comments from electricians, millwrights and plant personnel just for using command prompt. “Oh wow you’re hacking!” Or “You have logged in to the matrix!” I’m sure sometimes they were just joking but most of them truly believed I was doing some high level stuff.
I used to be an automotive controls engineer. 100hr work weeks were not unusual onsite, the norm was 80hrs. And you can end up onsite for anywhere from 2-10 months depending on the job. The 100hr weeks were usually only for a few weeks when production starts up again. But it’s the whole culture, there is a lot of pressure from the customer to get production back up. And most of the industry veterans I worked with loved bragging about the 36hr days they had worked in the past to “get the job done”. It’s like a cult, they get into the mindset of “well I did it so everyone else has to too”.
Yes, yes they are. And they have been doing so for longer than you think.
Ugh, this! My dad constantly talked down to my mom and called her stupid. It definitely messed up my siblings and I idea of what it means to be a woman. I can’t believe that I thought she deserved it at times. It wasn’t until I had been out of the house for a few years that I could see clearly what was going on, and encouraged her to leave (she did, and is much happier now).
I mean the people affected by lead are still around. There was lead in everything, the lead in gasoline was found in roadside dirt from the exhaust. Not to mention all the new chemicals we have started using in the last 100years. There is definitely going to be side effects from the plastics. Heck they have proof that obesity and diabetes in pregnant women increases the chances of babies being born with Autism. Apparently the mother’s blood sugar swinging around during critical brain development stage isn’t good for the developing brain. But they aren’t going to tell people that because they want to sell their unhealthy food.
Innovative naming technique for the modern era
And I doubt Johnny Cash would have condoned this. Or at least I would hope so.
🎶I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down. Livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town. I wear it for the prisoner who is long paid for his crime. But is there because he's a victim of the times.🎶
Lucky, mine came back and wanted more. Nothing terrified me more than the idea of the little crack head getting caffeinated.
A large bird is probably responsible. Eagles can pick up sheep.
There seems to be this trend of masochistic behavior in the US. Where we take pride in our injuries and illness, bragging about working and pushing ourselves while we are suffering. The whole time telling ourselves it’s not that bad. It’s definitely stood out more since Covid, it’s stupid behavior though.
Oh my goodness yes! Not to mention the whole if you don’t dress “modestly” it’s your fault if you get unwanted attention thing. It’s a grooming ground.
Yeah, the satanic temple is awesome. I love their t-shirts. I am not aware of anything “problematic” other than complaints by pearl clutchers because they have satan in their name.
I have this problem. One cat is food obsessed, the other is a picky eater and very active. Trying to coordinate their food is hard because the picky eater is a grazer he doesn’t like to eat his food in large amounts. And there’s the picky eating part, coaxing and treats then the other one is jealous. It can be exhausting!
Never knew I had slavic tendencies. I’m picky though it has to be Claussen dill.
I think it’s intentional, and I like it. Shows the family similarity, and gene/features do tend to express themselves more strongly in the generation after. Or at least in my family experience, my parents are both brown hair and eyed but many of my siblings have the blonde hair and blue/grey eyes of my grandparents.
I don’t want to be negative about people’s looks, but she looks like she had some terrible plastic surgery. Or had it done when she was younger and it didn’t age well? But her face looks mildly melted.
Sometimes it didn’t even make sense. I had a project Engineer (job lead) stay overnight with the night shift mechanics who were fixing a weld on our VDL (elevator for car bodies). He said that it was so he could make sure they lined it up correctly and test it. He could have done that when we came in the morning, there was a day shift mechanical crew if we had any issues.
And Argentina, huh…
