Surely they'll make a native Linux client then, right, right?!
(Meanwhile; shoutout to Heroic)
... I can't undervolt my card...
People usually use/recommend LACT for undervolting/overlocking on Linux
Not the best on AI/LLM terms, but I assume that training the models was done on Nvidia, while inference (using the model/getting the data from the model) is done on Huawei chips
To add: Training the model is a huge single-cost expense, while inference is a continuous expense.
Der8auer's video is worth a watch, he got one of the Redditor's card:
Biggs & Wedge!
Big fan of Typst these days;
Markdown-like syntax, with LaTeX typesetting, great for technical documents at least
The whole downside is that not everyone is a data horder with space for videos
Some media players allows for streaming directly using yt-dlp, e.g.;
mpv <youtube url
Will use yt-dlp if installed
Archlinux's XZ was compromised as well.
There is a patch-series that is now merged into 6.15-rc1 that exposes more i2c/RGB controllers on the GPU side for AMD cards, so that kernel + OpenRGB (as others have mentioned) might be a solution down the line
Patch series for reference: https://lists.freedesktop.org/...
Yeah, maybe it was just badly worded by me...
most (if not all) Wayland issues I currently have are related to Chromium, and especially CEF/Electron applications that are based on older Chromium versions. Weren't trying to say that this is an inherent Wayland issue, considering most of the applications works as expected.
Could it be an issue with the Nvidia drivers, boot with acpi=off and then install the (proprietary) nvidia drivers and then reboot to see if it boots normally now?
They support meetings in Firefox so it's a bit weird why they would block calls... They're effectively the same thing
Additionally, if you change your userAgent to be Chrome things are working pretty good in Firefox as far as I've tried it (not too extensively)
amdvlk, any reason you're not using the MESA driver, RADV?
I think this is just downloading the (new) shader sets see Github issue.
I'm using an AMD GPU and never had any issues with disabling the shader cache in Steam. Note that in some games it might be a bit stuttery in the very beginning then due to the shader compiler (ACO if using Mesa drivers with AMD) running in the background.
From what I've read Galaxy allows for downloading specific version of the games.
Might be misremembering, so take it with a pinch of salt
Edit: from https://www.reddit.com/...
It seems it's mostly "proper cloud saving" that's missing relative to Heroic đ€·
Maintainer has been absent for some time so kernel v6.11 and v6.12 isn't supported OOTB, to get it to work with kernel v6.11 you need to pull the fix from: !48
One thing to try is to update the firmware of the controller, however that needs to be done on Windows, the Arch Wiki has some additional info where people explain pairing issues
There's also a section on "able to pair but no inputs" in the troubleshooting section on the same Wiki page
Have you enabled Southern Islands support as a kernel parameter? Your generation of GPU was originally supported on radeon, so you need to explicitly enable SI (Southern Islands) support to use amdgpu.
See ArchWiki for more information
Pretty sure that information is stored in the driver, so you should be able to query it using monitoring software, i.e. see:
I know tooling like nvtop uses the API, but unsure whether it displays the maximum temperature
thanks for using Leebra!
