I wasn't ever a fan of UnpopularOpinions. It seemed like a license to say horrible shit and then feel good about the upvotes but people just upvoted because the opinion was awful.

It's definitely not lesser known, but my favorite is The Expanse.

Millennials these days don't even know how to neglect and terrorize their kids!

If someone refuses to admit their political affiliation in the US you can basically guarantee they're right wing.

My unpopular opinion is that I don't like space operas. I'd rather read pages of explanation of technology and world building. I don't care that the star princess in exile has to assemble a rag tag bunch of fringe worlders to take back the throne from the cruel council of the galactic core. How dat engine work tho?

Tech bros big mad when they can't continue to exploit a workforce and have to play by the rules. "How can we disrupt if we can't cheat and steal from our workers and customers?"

Those shit acre silicon carpetbaggers can get infini-fucked.

A trope that I hate is that every alien planet or moon has the same gravity as Earth. Yes, I love The Expanse.

Bonus round: planets with one biome: ice planets, forest planets, storm planets. I left out desert planets, praise the maker.

The Good Place is overall pretty positive. Same with Parks and Recreation as well as Abbot Elementary.

We're not talking about punishing anyone, we just don't want to hear or see their bigotry. They can have their space and we can choose not to interact with them.

No, leftists are like vegans. Call a vegan a vegetarian, "I'm not a vegetarian, I'm a vegan!"

Call a leftist a democrat, "I'm not a democrat, I'm a leftist!"

(btw, I'm a leftist. Not a vegan though)

True, but in Unidan's defense, it was a jackdaw, not a crow.

It's more about them getting into a slapdash deathisphere because as rich people they're rarely exposed to real risk.

I really liked the last two books. I thought I wouldn't care after the time jump but I was super wrong. I liked the show but I loved the books.

Bluesky and Threads are perfect examples of "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I've got no sympathy for folks who will be blindsided when those platforms start squeezing them almost immediately.

Lentils and rice. Saute 2 tablespoons of cumin seeds and 2 tablespoons of coriander powder in some neutral oil. Add 5 cups water, salt and pepper, bring to a boil. Put in a cup of brown lentils and reduce to simmer. Simmer for 10 min. Add a cup of rice, cover and cook on low for 20 min.

Serve with caramelized onions and yogurt if you're fancy. Skip that and serve with cheese if you're me. I shamelessly stole this and bastardized it from Christopher Kimball's mujaddara recipe.

It sounds like more work than it is. Toast spices, 5c water, 1c lentils for 10 min, 1c rice for 20 min, bob's your uncle.

What about a tardigrade (water bear)? They're little, scrappy and can survive in space.

Hell yeah, cyber archeology. Coming into old comments threads like Lawrence Fishburne, "this place is a tomb."

I can't believe Hugo Boss was on the wrong side of history. How could this have happened? There's no way this has happened before!

Think of the saving of cutting off your nose! Sure, it may spite your face but you have to understand the shareholder value of a leaner face!

I can answer number one. In kbin click on your username at the top right. There will be a header with your comments and threads and stuff. There's a small set of arrows to scroll that header. Scroll it to the right and you'll find Subscriptions. That will list the magazines you're subscribed to.
