As someone who built up a business working 80+ hrs; fuck that guy. 5 years ago I was paying part timers$26/hr and my only full time (salary) - told him 30 hrs/week max. It was my risk/investment, not theirs. I didn't want them to get burned out. Happier employees perform better.

How?! How can they stand it themselves and not feel like they're being blinded?

Except the GOP has already started doing those things... It's not like this is coming out of nowhere. I hate the DNC but hate facism a whole lot more so the choice is clear.

Same here. I left for about 10 years but started coming back gradually a few years ago. After everything that happened this year, I made the full switch to Mozilla on all my devices. I'm very happy to be back though!

As a small business owner: nothing. My employees have been extremely productive being able to work from home. We already drive more than the average job. Driving to the office just watses time and money for everyone. We use our office now for storage more than anything else.

IIRC they sold and shipped 2 generations of CPUs that were essentially defective and unrepairable.

Almost the exact same situation here. I tested it on myself and it's like a TENS unit. It's been a few years and now we really only use the tone button. It was a lifesaver for training though.

They don't know what it means. I have a friend who would boast about how free America is (they are 2nd generation). It's taken over half a decade of me providing information that states otherwise. I think it's finally starting to settle in with them. Sadly, the propaganda runs deep and it can take a long time for someone to break free of thought control.

You guys who? I used to vote Republican... I'm an independent voter who wants a political reform of ranked choice voting, removing the 2 party system, etc... I only vote Democrat now because the GOP shoved their foot so far up their ass showing their true colors.

The GOP went full orange cult. They're now hell bent on taking rights away and decide to vote against anything positive for their constituents as long as it is under the name of opposing democrats. They used to be the party of small government. Now they want to control everything and remove only regulations that 'stop profit.' They're not even close to being the same party they used to be.

They shouldn't have made a personal attack like that, but they're not wrong. Herd immunity is needed. Individual vaccination, while helpful, isn't fool proof. Especially for highly infectious diseases like measles.

I believe he specifically said it during one of the debates. I really wish he would have followed through with it.

I agree. I feel like many people aren't testing. I had it very mild in June of 2023. I thought it was allergies but tested and sure enough; positive. My fiance thought she had a cold in November of 2023 but decided to test and it was positive. Meanwhile all these people around us have "colds" but aren't actually testing. I somehow escaped it when my fiance had it so I got a booster last month hoping I can escape this wave and help cut the spread.

While I think Linus can be way too whiny at times. I think he handled the situation well if everything stated is true. He made it clear on his forum that they terminated the partnership/sponsorship. He could have made a 'more public statement (e.g., a video on ltt)' but as he stated, viewers probably would have raked him over the coals for doing so. It likely would have been perceived as 'oh no! Honey stole money from me but gave you a discount. Woe is me.'

He still is too whiny as of the last few years but as a small business (very small; ~20 employees) owner myself, I kind of get it. I go out of my way to try to give my employees the best possible experience but sometimes people think I'm just taking advantage of them (despite me paying my full-time employees 1.5x my pre-tax take home rate). So I kind of get why he acts that way at times. Now, I don't condone it, but I understand.

Edit I love what Steve from GN is doing. I reported the honey extension when this news initially came out. I have supported all his pro consumer reports/actions.

I didn't know the left did all this:

-Plotted to kidnap a governor.

-Committed an insurrection.

-Threw away a pandemic response plan because they thought it would hurt big cities more than rural areas.

-Let businesses take PPP loans when they didn't need it and not hold business accountable for what they did with those funds.

-Block student loan forgiveness saying it's too much money to spend (very hypocritical based on their PPP loans stance).

-Put policies in place to make voting harder.

-Reversed Roe v Wade to let the states decide. Then when a state votes in favor of abortion, they don't want to honor the people's decision.

-Trying to stop legalization of marijuana (even when it's put to a state vote) despite it being overwhelmingly favored by both parties.

-Banning/preventing life saving medical care (example ectopic pregnancies).

-Blame gun violence on mental health but then vote against mental health programs...

-Ignore experts in fields of science and education because it goes against their agenda.

-Plead to let the people decide on a new supreme court judge at the end of a presidential term (i.e. let the next president appoint the judge), only to not do the same when they hold office.

-Have Nazis on their side...

-Are in favor of gerrymandering (an unfair political strategy)

Oh wait, all that wasn't the left...

To say the left has gone crazy with the current state of affairs is blatantly ignorant. And to cast a wide net on anyone who opposes what you think is right is also extremely dangerous and akin to facism. I don't think every Republican is out of touch or crazy. I think they have many valid concerns. What I disagree with is the majority of Republican politicians. There are actually a few Republican politicians I do like just like there a ton of Democrat politicians I don't like. It's the direction the Republican party is going in regards to policies that I disagree with.

And the right literally have stated they are in favor of smaller federal/national government and that states should have more power (hence a smaller government...)

As someone who voted 3rd party in 2016, I very much regret it. It was a wasted vote and helped Trump get in office. The very same thing can happen again. Don't get me wrong, I hate that Biden is the candidate. I hated it in 2020 as well. The Democratic party is a joke when it comes to putting up candidates. Until we aren't a two party system, we have to vote for the lesser of two evils with a plausible chance of winning. If not and Trump wins again, we will only move backwards again. It felt like we took two steps backwards and a half step forward.

How we can generate change is by starting at the local level. Ranked choice voting has already begun at many local level elections. We need to campaign for this and for candidates that can make that happen.

As a former 3rd party voter; it's a wasted vote. I don't like either parties but voting 3rd party favors the GOP in US elections. Now that the GOP is full steam ahead on facism, voting 3rd party is dangerous. Hopefully more municipalities, states, and national elections will migrate to ranked choice voting to make voting for other parties a viable option. Until then, I'd rather not vote for the party that wants a dictatorship.
