Scott added he would say to historians questioning the accuracy of his storytelling:

“Were you there? Oh you weren’t there. Then how do you know?”

Out of everything, it is this response that makes Scott look like an idiot. This is some MAGA-level history reconstruction argumentation.

The hypocrisy of the Heinrich Böll Foundation (and the German government in general) is incredible.

Here you have a Jewish person who is a journalist and a renowned political thinker who was being given the award for being someone who "reports on power games and totalitarian tendencies as well as civil disobedience and the love of freedom".

They 100% have the position, right, and accuracy to be comparing the state of Gaza currently to the WWII ghettos.

Edit: Something else to note. The Foundation made this statement ""But Masha Gessen's views should not be honored with a prize intended to commemorate the Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt".

And I can't help but laugh. Do they not know Arendt's past stance on Israel? She was literally one of the first world-renowned Jewish anti-Zionists.

She literally compared the Likud party to the Nazis!

"Newsom, a Democrat who championed legalizing cannabis in 2016, said in a statement Saturday that more needs to be done before California decriminalizes the hallucinogens.

“California should immediately begin work to set up regulated treatment guidelines - replete with dosing information, therapeutic guidelines, rules to prevent against exploitation during guided treatments, and medical clearance of no underlying psychoses,” Newsom’s statement said. “Unfortunately, this bill would decriminalize possession prior to these guidelines going into place, and I cannot sign it.”"

At least there's an attempt to have a reasonable explanation.

Okay, corruption like that should be corrected. Regardless, there's no scientific evidence that aspartame is harmful. Let alone a biochemical reason for why a dipeptide of two amino acids, phenylalanine and aspartic acid, that dissociates in the stomach into its constituent components and some byproducts would be harmful in the first place.

Unless you have phenylketonuria, but you have much bigger problems in that case and, if that is the case for you, kudos on being at an age and capability to read and understand this post, you are incredible.

Edit: Also, just noticed the part about US Right To Know, which is a well known anti-science group that's been pushing pseudoscience and fearmongering about other topics, such as biotechnology, for years. So them being involved here raises questions.

This article is inaccurate or at least misleading in its title presentation. It's reporting on something that happened on October 20th, as the second paragraph notes, and was never actually enacted. In fact, Biden moved back from this and has been instead moving to restrict all weaponry sales to Israel in the past few days.

Biden has not been in any form of good light in my eyes in the past two months, but please don't spread fake or misleading information like this.

The actual original stated history near the start of the religion is that Adam and Eve weren't the "first people" to exist, just the first Jewish/Christian people created by God. Since it was common belief and understanding at the time that other gods also existed from the other religions and created their own peoples.

Judaism was monotheistic only in regards to following a single god, but it fully recognized other existences in a much larger pantheon.

It was only later that Jewish and Christian scholars denigrated the existence of other gods to be "demons" worshipped by pagans and thus lower than the "one true god" and all that nonsense.

And yet they constantly whine about being defederated and demand to know what they've done, because clearly they've never done anything wrong ever.

The answer to the question is simple, honestly. It's because they're shitty people.

And? If there's a hostage situation, the answer is not to blow up the entire building, hostages and all.

I love all these new "mods" (cough scabs cough) who act as if the community of the subreddit as a whole wasn't supportive of the protest and clearly it was only the old bad mods doing everything.

Also, based on that last image, what are they going to do, ban every member of the sub and kill it that way instead?

The block "feature" is a required tool for being listed on the Google and Apple stores, among others.

Removing it will get Twitter delisted from them as well.

Before someone tries to make the claim, no, the hospital staff couldn't have taken the babies with them. These were premature babies in oxygen-saturated powered incubators, which could not be moved.

Possibly if a fully set up ambulance was available for each baby, it could be done, but the IDF has been bombing ambulances too and there aren't that many available anyways.

This is an ongoing example of why conservatives are the enemy. They are actively trying to destroy any form of democratic and people controlled process.

This is not and has never been a "both sides are bad" situation. And anyone trying to argue as such is just as bad as the conservatives.

"If you can look at the situation and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will show that in time,"

This post on her part was fine, but the other one...not so much. She should have stuck with this one only, rather than whatever the frick murderous thing that other post was.

You mean when he in the three months afterwards helped the workers and the union to make sure they got their demands, while also not causing an actual rail shutdown that would cause massive harm to multiple areas?

Technically, yes, per the STOCK Act. But there's a loophole for Congress.

It doesn't count as "insider trading" for them if the information they use is based on bills they are passing as a part of their job.

Democrats have repeatedly tried to pass a law to ban this loophole as well, such as Adam Schiff from January of this year, but Republicans always vote such bills down or have them die in committee.

Israel made an agreement with the hospital to let an ambulance go and save her. And then blew up the ambulance when it got there. There's no other definition of that than pure evil.

I am glad that the rest of the world is finally finding out just how insane Indian politics is. There's a lot of fearmongering, grandstanding, and really stupid political stances going on in India, along with rampant human rights abuses.

You think Republicans in the US are insane? They've got nothing on what goes on in India.

It should be noted that this is just a method to determine the amount of infected cows. The milk itself isn't a threat to anyone. Virus fragments in themselves can't do anything, they're just a sign of the original cow problem.

Call out anyone that tries to fearmonger about the milk being dangerous.

They've been doing that for two decades. Golden rice could have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of lives by now. Especially the later versions we're on now. Hopefully it doesn't violate the self-promotion rules for me to link an article I wrote a long, long time ago on Golden Rice 3.0 and its improved benefits.

I haven't kept up with the project since, I wouldn't be surprised if we're on 4.0 or beyond by now, the scientists involved have been working tirelessly for years to make the rice even better and more beneficial for the people who need it.

And anti-science idiots like Greenpeace have been fighting them every step of the way.
