I'm actually happier rolling back to older tech options and sticking with open source apps and OS's.
My car has no computer, I go talk to humans at banks, I avoid large companies. No AI, I vet everything I utilize for privacy, My brain is at peace.

Antennapod is dope, you can follow your favourites, no sign up, downloads. excellent app!
Alternative To was invaluable when I degoogled, not perfect though as it still lists some apps that invade and track even when you select the Privacy focused option in the search options, but it DOES give you somewhere to start from with all the info you need.
I'm currently running lineage on my phone, tablet and now working on a lineage streaming box to replace firestick. Good luck!
Archive.org has vhs rips of tons of stuff, however its up to you to discover.
To kill a mockingbird -Harper Lee
After reading it, I felt I had read and understood something important that remained with me. Not a difficult or long book, enjoyable and interesting.
Believe or not, it's running a web browser & obsidian now on Linux mint. It just takes it's time.
Our outdoors can be very mucky and wet and very dry and dusty depending in the season. Polite northern folk are clean, and we like to keep our hosts houses clean too. Shoes on is considered quite rude. During the summer we allow for short walk throughs with dry shoes on, but you ask first if its ok. House slippers are common but not everyone wears them, up here it's a "socks or slippers" debate.
Aw cool! Glad you wanted to share!
I noticed there's some thoughts that maybe these types of posts don't have a place in the Linux phones. I'm new to Lemmy and found help here and wanted to thank the community. Changing over was work and I'm proud of myself, but recognize those who chimed in when I needed it.
So I propose the positive aspect of a show-your-home-screen post.
They can help start a discussion for those of who are curious about the process of running a non mainstream OS. If you are a degoogler, it's important to know what life without Gapps is like. It may provide folks with feedback on better app options as well if they are struggling. Switching over is a process with inherent risk so it can be really scary and there are few places that have real human feedback.
Anyhow, my newb two cents. Is my OS proper Linux? I don't know, I'm new, looking for help, and it brought me here.
I know m&ms are Mars but those little bits of poison have also tasted like vomit for decades. I can't even watch people choke those friggen things down. Smarties or death.
Thankyou so much, I'm an old hand at this so this kind of CC is what I crave! I look at some line work in pixel art a see how to improve. The rest will come with practice I'm sure.
My phone is as Degoogled as I could get it with Lineage, & I don't use any banking apps on mobile, so I can't give too much info there. For 2 factor Auth Apps, I use the Proton one and it works a treat!
Edit: Blerg!!! I have been having issues with the Proton Authenticator, You need Gapps or MicroG to get it to work properly.
Edit 2: Aegis works
I have found my people it seems.
Fluxer is standing out with their terms and privacy policy. No data scraping and you retain ownership of your content. I have yet to fully try it out. Stoat if you want text only on desktop. Ditch discord now, they have been abusing user data and privacy for far too long. You can go to https://alternativeto.net/ and do more in depth research into alternatives.
It's all about usage and what you are willing to give up. I never had any use for those things beforehand and I value my privacy more if I did. So it was an easy choice.
This is currently running slowly but functionally on Linux mint. I just want to free up some stuff with something a tad lighter. What SNES emulators are worth looking into?
I updated the main post with the solution! I have my 2 little apps and paired a pro controller and now it all seems to be working!
I'm going to try LineageOS first, but do you have any thoughts about CalyxOS? I'm in my last stages of degoogling so the further away I am from Google, the better. I'd love to use GrapheneOS but I can't afford a Pixel that's new enough to run it.
In Dragon Age, Serah and Messere and the gender neutral terms, which i alway thought went nicely with "Ladies & Gentlemen, Serahs & Messeres!” However Serah is for those equal or lower in status and Messere is higher status. Choose wisely.
Lineage installed and it works beautifully.
That helped, thankyou!
thanks for using Leebra!
