Attributing all the merit to Carney in a time of election seems a bit… optimistic? No doubt he was an insider on this brilliant strategy but giving him the unshared paternity is a bit of a stretch.

Whoever came up with this first isn’t ultimately important : I will gladly vote for someone smart enough to understand the strategy and with the connections to push it and see it implemented. No other PM candidate can have me sleep at night with the trust that we try to protect our interest with the best strategy available for our limited ressources.

Also the “if the US won’t lead the world, we will” comment gave such a hopeful vibe, it reminded me of Obama or Jack Layton campaign style.

Step one : do some activity where you genuinely want to be there involved in that activity. You will meet new people there, it can’t happen if you stay home inactive. You are happy with your own person at this point.

Step two : be kind towards everyone there and show interest to new people with a curiosity state of mind. Talk to people, not only people of direct romantic interest…

Step four : most of the time, when you text to invite you use the word date only once, but it need to be there. She will notice and register that you don’t aim for platonic.

Step five : its out of your control, if there is reciprocal interest you will feel things moving, if it’s not moving over 8-10 dates you need to check within yourself if it’s the relationship you want and discuss the divergence with her. At that point every couple is different, you build the style of communication that will characterize your relationship going forward in this early phase. Let her bring the sex topic first, or most of it.

Dating app will push you just a bit faster to 3-4, but you are doing every step before that through your phone with artificial/imperfect feedback.

Doesn’t she realize that to an authoritarian government, the senate having the ability to break his power is the most threatening thing ever : the more you wait the more you need to be fearful because your life will be shortened. Right now, it is in Trump’s best interest to disappear congress and the supreme court. And the supreme court is mostly dealt with by now because proven powerless. He has two years two deal with Democrats and way more time to deal with whoever he believes a problem, but the senate is an everyday threat to his power.

There isn’t much appetite for Quebec’s independence now that the Millennials are huge in the voting demographics and Baby Boomers are slowly disappearing.

Now if you add a sliver of curiosity toward learning rudimentary French from the ROC, just to be better than the American or proud to be Canadian. Then Quebec will be happy to be part of Canada and fight fiercely to defend Canada. There will be differences of opinion and politics between rural Alberta and urban Montreal but this is true of every country.

If you look at this situation from an older mindset, i am above thirty, you would definitely tell them in a very direct and short conversation. Maybe even be playful about making them feel guilty, that’s what most people with more life experience would do.
