RAM is a horrible indication of phone performance imo.

The A15 chip in the iPhone 3 SE absolutely destroys the Dimensity 6300 chip in the 8GB phone you linked

A lot of people had liked iPhone because for the longest time android phones were not able to compete in the cpu/gpu space especially around the time of the iPhone 11.

Although now at the high end android phones are much closer together in performance so it’s more about what features you care about more between the phones.

This is a specific issue with several of the amd 500 series gigabyte motherboards, the only workaround is to disable GPP0 wakeup

You have to disabled it again every reboot so you will have to find a way to disable it automatically on boot

To be fair this one is not developed by Bethesda

There is a 5 year gap between the cards.. and with the 5060 being an 8GB card, it might actually perform worse than the 3060 in vram limited scenarios

Rendering anything below native resolution is usually also blurry as hell, at least for me.

Things like FSR is the only thing that saves my 6 year old 5700 XT from getting obliterated when using my 1440p monitor.

Their computers are shit but they at least have pretty good monitors, I am still rocking a 2021 S2722DGM because it was a very good VA panel for it’s time especially considering it’s BFI implementation is quite good.

Valheim is considerably demanding imo, have to play the game at 1080p to get a decent and consistent frame rate on my 5700 XT

Errr I am pretty sure those are currently only in use in prototyping and research, did you mean a different battery technology?

Daniel is a real one that is for sure, thankfully ram requirements have not gone up much in the last decade because I am still using a 16GB AM4 system with a 9070 XT for obvious reasons

It is quite stable and is actually much better at recovering during gpu driver timeouts than gnome is for me.

The only big gripe for me is how OSD’s like notifications or changing the volume cause full screen content to get letterboxing that can only be worked around by refullscreening.

It’s been a problem for at least a year now, here’s to hoping it gets fixed for the beta release.

Yeah Apple Music definitely provides the best service overall, it’s too bad it’s impossible to get lossless playback on Linux.

I mostly mean that when transferring a large playlist from something like Spotify it can become very noticeable how many songs are completely missing from the platform

The statistics are 2 years old but out of 40k songs it went something like this

Deezer: 259 tracks missing

Apple Music: 529 tracks missing

Tidal: 672 tracks missing

Qobuz: 2572 tracks missing

At least for me personally Apple Music had all my Spotify tracks in lossless while Tidal was a close 2nd where qobuz was straight up missing multiple artists, I have not tried deezer yet but I plan to later this month.

As long as it is volume matched and the track is at least cd quality then it should all sound the same as lossless is lossless assuming you can’t hear above 22khz (although on all the platforms it is not that uncommon for artists to upload fake lossless files)

Lossy however is a mess with how every codec can sound different at different bitrates and it is a fairly deep rabbit hole you can fall into, even with something like AAC there are multiple types that all sound different, AAC-LC, FDK-AAC, QuickTime-AAC etc.
