These are beautiful! Initial glue ups look great as well just as is with those stripes 😀

Raiders of the Lost Ark, Mad Max: Fury Road, A Knight's Tale, Tokyo Godfathers, Life Aquatic.

I've seen them all at least 5-10 times fully and probably more times partially. It's definitely a wide spectrum, and one of them is not what you would call a "good" movie compared to the others. I'll let you decide which, but I'm hella not ashamed.

Mind blown. This. Changes. ... well not everything, but it's neat.

I've been enjoying Jerboa so far, there have been a ton of quality updates. Reminds me a lot of RiF which was my preferred Reddit app so that may say something.

Wow this is big news, and great for the guild. 💪 p.s. is there a way to cross post or would I have to just copy paste this link? There's a new animation instance on lemmy.film it would be great to x-post to

Had a long pause for a while, but back to making my way thru all of Discworld in publishing order. I'm on Monstrous Regiment at the moment and enjoying Terry Pratchett's delightful writing as always.

Chthulu Casebooks sounds fun, I've never heard of it but I enjoy Holmes and mysteries in general, will make a note to check it out!

Would love one! I subscribed to the ones I found, but the last activity on them was from a couple years ago

Presumably back in the day it would have been mail order thru specialty magazines? Genuinely curious

Tokyo Godfathers is probably my favorite movie of all time. It generally gets overshadowed by Paprika or Perfect Blue in discussions, but for me it's easily Kon's best work, and I've seen all his features and as many of his other works as I could get my hands on.

On the surface much more grounded than Paprika as it seems to tell a much smaller story, but so intricately woven within itself. Flawlessly crafted and layered visual storytelling. Worth the watch!

Neat, thanks for the thoughtful answer and follow up!

Haven't listened in a while despite being subscribed! When did they leave and are there new hosts?

I think this is my favorite comment I've read on The Fediverse (Federatedverse?) since I joined. Great answer, thorough and well written!

These were the 2 I found, but not really any activity, tried to post on the first one :)

Exactly what I did! It was such a reflex action. Replaced RIF with AP News until I discovered Jerboa

Hey thank you so much! r/animation didn't really have a ton of activity either, but at least there's a start! I suppose I could mod if activity stays light. I've never done it before, though

This all showed up in a line on my app, and I totally read it as one title "Blade Runner Indiana Jones Cube Baraka".
