They didn't learn French before moving to a French country? Just... wow.

It's a setup for them saying you may identify as Trans, then switching it up by explaining some news for you, as in something said in the news, aka a storm coming

So I've worked in business for 17ish years now, and the only consistent thing I can say about business leadership is they are there to have their egos stroked.

They do not care about money or other people until they look bad, and even then they don't do anything until someone threatens to take away the group of people forced to listen to them.

Working from home hurts their ego. This method (RTO) doesn't improve value and increases turnaround, which increases expenses if you are happy with the amount of people working for your company, as replacing people costs money.

So either Dell still needs to get rid of people, or a bunch of old fucks need someone to suck up to them in person.

Won't someone think of the poor capitalists who can't love better lives then those around them!

My guess is in 10 years we will see him run for president similar to Trump. This won't end well.

Truly sad part? The tourism benefit from it was estimated at 6$ billion... but NBC doesn't want that.

In what way? I am Canadian, so this question is very odd.

Yes, he's a nepotism baby, his father was PM in the 70s.

But he's the leader of a center left party. He has been in power a long time, but in a minority government. He dropped his promise to change election laws and lead the government to legalize weed. He should have been a lot better on the environment but also wasn't (blatantly) hostile to environmental causes.

He was caught doing black face in the past and his government was too nice in bed with SNC Lavalin and should not have helped them by interfering with the justice system . But again, he didn't deny it.

Heck, we had truckers convoy across the country with swastikas and occupy our capital to try and oust him. So our version of Jan 6th was anti Trudeau, versus being lead (or spurned on) by Trump.

So its not a 1 to 1 to Trump. He's closer to Clinton in that he's a slimy politician who does some good things but clings too hard to the status quo and has some skeletons in the closet.

I don't think Meta thought this through, unless the staff already know you can be fired for small things like this. Sure, they stretched what you are supposed to spend money on, broke the rules, fine. Fuck around, find out, not something i do professionally. But it's $25. You're a 1.5$ trillion company. It comes off as petty.

If I was still working at Meta, I'd be job hunting. And maybe that's what they want. Maybe they need to downsize some more.

But eventually Meta will have the minimum amount of staff and need to grow again or necessary people will leave, and when they try to hire people they may find this article and demand more money to make up for the pettiness or they won't apply, because no one likes to be under a microscope.

As usual, these Farts (feminism-appropriating reactionary transphobe) end up using their hatred of Trans women to marginalize CIS women who happen to fall out of their view of what they view as women to score points among their bigoted fans.

I say this as a millennial who drinks and actually did whisky tasting as my main hobby with reviews for 12 years; I get it. I worked with and in the alcohol industry. They have no clue. It's all ego and razor thin margins and old ways of running a business. They are heavily resistant to change of any sort. They will not be able to handle this at all.

Add to that they are owned by rich people as vanity projects who want their ROI ASAP at levels that healthier margin/growth industries could barely achieve and we will start seeing them disappear. Which is too bad, because it's centuries of tradition in some cases, and I find it tasty.

Do they have hobbies/beliefs/sycophantic mannerisms similar to the bosses in charge? Because that'll get you promoted. A lot of management are lonely people who don't view others as equals unless they suck up or never argue, thus useless people get promoted so they can hang with "friends" in meetings all day.

Or good old nepotism.

Quote from the article:

However, Spencer outlined a number of blocks on the merger, including the fact Nintendo seemed uninterested in selling up. Nintendo is “sitting on a big pile of cash”, Spencer said, and was apparently happy with its current position. As a result, Spencer said he couldn’t “see an angle” on a buyout in the short term, adding: “I don’t think a hostile action would be a good move… so we are playing the long game."

So its never happening and it's at best delusional. Got it.

I did a quick Google since this article is click bait: it's resting before you burnout to avoid it.

I imagine the article would also call out someone for avoiding excessive sugar before they are diabetic, based on the title, then the article explains that it makes sense actually, which is what they did.

At the food bank where my mother works, she finds pig farmers are a good source to get rid of almost gone food. While it's not solving the feeding people part, it does help with disposal. Good luck, hopefully you can pickle some of it too.

Probably humans, given they went from 100k to 5.6k in population in 100 years and are still in decline.

I'm reminded of a video from Gary Vee where he had a small moment of reality: Some guy was complaining his employee quit 3 weeks after starting because they were all lazy. Also note it was always his only employee.

Gary asks him how much they paid the employee (min wage) and if he demanded they work over 40 hours (yes and no ot), then pointed out the guy was walking home with all the money and expecting someone to work hard with no return.

The entire audience was confused. Now they are in these comments.
