Seriously.
The attorneys general also said they believed Target's Pride campaign threatened their financial interests, writing that Target leadership has a "fiduciary duty to our States as shareholders in the company" and suggesting that company officials "may be negligent" in promoting the campaign since it has negatively affected Target's stock prices and led to some backlash among customers.
I didn't realize the government needed to step in if a business makes decisions that hurt their profit. That doesn't sound like a free market at all.
It's from a video where this guy fills a PC with beans and then calls someone to fix it. I've never actually watched the full video I've just seen this clip from it but here's the video https://youtu.be/4HhPK8XC75A?t=370
Yea, it's going to be a problem if a lot of large instances start defederizing from each other. People aren't going to want to have 4 different accounts to interact with communities they were contributing to before they defederized. Sure you can have 2 gaming communities but if you are on lemmy.world and like beehaws gaming community more you are now stuck with just the one on lemmy.world unless you make a beehaw account.
Its insane. Also I didn't realize the government can control what a business can sell when it came to religious/spiritual merchandise. Freedom of religion and all that. Party of small government my ass.
I haven't encountered any of these "puriteens" yet anywhere thankfully, I don't really spend any time on twitter though. My opinion boils down to pretty much what everyone else has said here so far. We don't need a bunch of kids running around trying to tell us what to do and acting like morality police, don't force religious beliefs onto us, etc. As for the risk of being "Called out", just ignore it. Even if they get loud about it. Its just a group of teens on Twitter and in the grand scheme of things their opinion about you means fuck all. They will forget about you and move on to the next thing/person to be mad at in less than a week. As for the fandom as a whole being "called out", I don't think there is much to "call out". Furries have not been well received on the internet for a long time and the go to thing to accuse us of is bestiality so they've already lost the main thing to "call us out" for. I've noticed a shift recently in a more positive direction of the internet's opinions on furries and I don't think a loud group of teens on Twitter is going to sway it back the other direction again.
I've seen the joke a few times now, I just think it's become the thing to joke about. I'm on a yiff instance and have 3 yiff communities of my own here and my feed is still 90% human porn.
If you browse the all feed you can see nsfw posts as long as your instance is federated with the nsfw ones. That's if you have nsfw enabled on your account though, which you can turn off.
I like to talk about video games and TTRPGs
For a discussion topic maybe like a monthly "Show and tell" kind of thing where people can show off art, DIY projects, cool pictures they took, anything they find interesting/cool/are proud of and want to show off
I'm playing through Rise of the Runelord with my wife and some friends. Its a pathfinder 1e campaign that our DM has converted to 2e.
I want to run my own 2e campaign and was thinking about picking up a shorter pre made campaign to run, I just have to take the time to read through them and pick one
thanks for using Leebra!
