He's in the middle of a lame joke. "I'm on a seafood diet, I see food, I eat it"
Slay the spire.
Lost. It just got weirder without ever really answering any questions
The boss was incompetent and well on the way to driving the company to bankruptcy or worse. I was self-employed.
I had a kobo reader once, and when I had questions about repairing it they refused to help in any shape or form. They told me to buy a new one, and I did - but never again a kobo. Maybe this is a step in the right direction, maybe it's too little, too late.
This doesn't feel like the right translation for "horsemen" in German
I just did the same thing - logged on to my facebook account after many years, and I'm not having the same experience at all. Old friends, neighbors, and relatives posting disappointing amounts of AI slop, some local news it suggests I follow (something about a hairdresser getting fined for refusing service), one particular former neighbor posting an endless barrage of AI-generated religious slop... and that's about it. It wasn't interesting a decade ago, and it only got less interesting since.
In 2007 I left everything and everyone I knew behind, and moved to another country across the ocean
Absolutely brilliant, someone in the near future invents a time machine, and the first thing they do is send him back to the bronze age.

This is not surprising at all. Even when taking about time relative to the analog clock, it gets difficult, a lady asked me for the time at Walmart, and she could not understand "half past six". When I clarified that's 6:30, she finally got it.
I was in a (very) long distance relationship at the time, and decided it was worth taking risks and making bold moves, so I moved to close the distance. We got married in 2008, and are married still, so that worked out great. I tried keeping in touch with friends, but over time our life experiences diverged to the point where we just didn't have a lot to talk about anymore, and old friendships fizzled out. I learned many things, got new jobs and made new friends, and overall life is good.
Also on an Asus laptop with Fedora, after following some obscure instructions from amd I managed to get a Python script to confirm the npu exists and is technically functional... But apparently to do anything approaching useful, I need the slightly fancier npu. What a waste.

I've read a lot of sci fi books, seen a lot of movies, and none of them had this on their dystopian bingo card
so if I draw something new, do I send it back in time, or... ?

Why would I want to get involved in the word soup that scrolls by faster than anyone can reasonably read it
I've never been to Taco Bell, and I'm confused that none of the comments mention tacos. Unless the Chalupa is a kind of taco I've never heard of.
