Idk about the Lian li ones but a buddy got himself a corsair xenon edge on a deal and he's running it via hdmi. If I remember correctly it just popped up as a screen without any software but you need to double check it!

What price range are we talking about? Depends on money and interests you can choose from something janky like an old phone screen + hdmi mipi adapter or pc case LCD panel (comes often with hdmi) or something completely different like a used second screen...

Do you know your trim level? Manufacturer often offer different sounds systems and the lower ones are missing some speakers. And since producing a separate panel without the holes would be way more expensive, they're using fake covers for a fraction of the cost.
