Meh. Everyone involved in the production of the OG Miku voicebank did so with full consent, which is more than you can say about today's slops.

I didn't know it worked like that. I think I understand now, thank you.

Is time flowing in reverse? I swear this was a thing ten years ago.

Niche communities, like everyone else.

In my case, I am very into Genshin Impact. Lemmy has a very small Genshin community as it is, whereas Reddit has specific and very active communities for leaks, lore, and particular characters. There'd have to be a mass migration to Lemmy for any chance of that quality of discussion and theorycrafting coming here, and I'm not holding my breath.

If I had the free time to moderate it, I'd make a leaks community here, but I don't. So it is what it is, and I will continue to visit Reddit until it becomes unusable for me.

I was looking into this recently for myself. My personal solution was to get an old WACOM pressure plate graphics tablet and plug it into a cheap laptop that I put Linux on, with Krita as my art program.

There are Linux tablets with stylus support out there if the display aspect is important to you. They were out of my price range, though.

Considering askreddit was the first sub I personally noticed go from feeling like anywhere else online to become blatantly overrun with bots and astroturfing, feels like a chicken-or-the-egg situation.

Zuramaru. I just think she's neat.
