The phrenology and physiognomy come along with the "race science" as a package.

I'd actually be willing to entertain the idea of plant and fungal consciousness (of a kind unlike animal consciousness) before I'd believe LLMs to be conscious. Plants, at least, interact with the world around them.
Notes that I thought about related to this, just some context:
Joshua Sutter is the son of the owner of the former Southern Patriot Shop in South Carolina. He founded the Tempel ov Blood chapter of the Order of Nine Angles, a Neo-Nazl Satanist group. He was outed in 2021 as having been a federal informant since 2005, which is to say he still does the same Nazi shit, but gets paid by the FBI to do it.
One of the core practices of the O9A is entryism into other groups, especially other cultish ones. In that context, you'd kind of be surprised to not see O9A people in Rat circles.
ProofOfConcept may not be sentient now, but once we figure out how to put programming socks on her, the +2 coding bonus will put her over the top.
In some ways, it's a lot like the cut-up technique used by the Dadaists and William S. Burroughs, though much less efficient. Maybe Markov chains are a happy medium. Going to run M-x dissociated-text on my ePub collection.
Someone who has never heard of fanfic and just had their mind blown by the worst example of fanfic ever.
they argued that the TESCREAL thesis is little more than a leftist conspiracy theory
The thing about leftist conspiracy theories... right wing conspiracy theories tend to be things like "the (((lizard people))) are kidnapping and harvesting the adrenochrome from white children", whereas leftist conspiracy theories tend to be things like "the CIA illegally funded right-wing Latin American militias by illegally selling arms to a country that had in recent memory held US diplomats hostage but was, at least, anticommunist". Leftist conspiracy theories tend to get validated in substance if not in details a few years after it's too late for the knowledge to be useful.
I'm excited to see that he is well into the process of succumbing to AI psychosis. I just hope he manages to lead J.D. Vance someplace really weird before the inevitable.
He also argues somewhere for strong longtermism, so I'd say there's something significantly wrong with his jib somewhere, even if he's right about decision theory and contrarianism.
Every time an LLM-related package appears on ELPA I die a little more inside.
Should I be worried that this is on the bcachefs domain? I already don't use bcachefs for other reasons.
The fake research company listed Dr. Elena Vasquez, one of the most commonly made-up AI names, on its staff page. I guess Elara Voss was too busy.
I will say that Yogthos seems to be unique—the Marxist-Leninists I observe elsewhere seem to pretty much universally despise LLMs, and on the Red side of the fediverse his posting is usually met with confusion.
All of complainer's posts on that issue are clearly LLM-written.
There's a virtue ethics argument to be made for not doing this. It's not bad for the LLM (because it's not sentient, nothing can be bad-for-it), but it's perhaps bad for the experimenter. The main argument for doing it is out of spite for the promptfondlers.
Zen is AI free, at least so far.
It's like carbon monoxide binding to hemoglobin.
Personally, I enjoy talking about goblins.
Yeah, seeing that gave me the black pill. I chose Common Lisp for personal projects to avoid techbro bullshit.
It's an anti-systemd distribution, so pretty much expected to be 80% fascist by weight. (15% assorted cranks, 5% embedded developers.)
thanks for using Leebra!
