You mean it wasn't because of the rampant sexism, sexual harassment, enforcement of China's policies outside of China, and general shittyness of the company?

That's definitely a part of it. All of the MS web platforms rely heavily on first and third party cookies. You can't even log in properly to Teams if your browser is in incognito/private mode.
Aside from the standard dark patterns and extraneous, feature-forcing bloat, I really dislike that flat-design trend. Not just does it look kinda bad, but everything is so physically bloated to try to separate it from everything else that you get notably less usable screen space resulting in annoyingly little information density.
damn, that's kinda awesome. Do they mention moving to a different platform, or will they be sticking with their support site and discord only?
As someone who is not LGBTQ+ but is trying to understand it myself, the biggest key to "getting it" is separating sex and gender. Sex would be your biological make up, regardless of genital configuration. That's your classic XX vs XY vs the rare "non-standard". It's important to note that there are multiple types of different physical configurations that are "male or female" - Anatomical, Hormonal, Chromosomal, and Cellular - and they frequently do not line up 100%.
Gender is separate from this as a mental construct/thought pattern. For most people, these two things line up, and that is your standard Cis person. A Trans person is where their mental configuration does not match their physical configuration. When this causes significant mental distress we call it gender dysphoria. For the rest, we call it being Trans, non-Binary or something else.
Isn’t that where they would receive the best treatment for themselves? Aren’t gender pronouns useful when distinguishing between biological differences in the medical field?
Why would there be a difference between gendered wards in the quality of the care? Health care is tailored to the patient, where in the hospital they are located shouldn't affect it.
While that is true, the verbal contract stipulated non-monetary compensation on job completion. Job was never completed, so the contract was never fulfilled, and compensation is not owed. This is why repair depots have a minimum charge for technician time laid out in their pricing.
While I have no doubt that the EU has corrupt politicians, It's no where as visibly bad as it is in the US. Most of the people who could bring this forward get something out of what he is doing or contributing to them, and they would rather turn a blind eye than risk losing whatever he is giving them.
For some it's helping out their base, for others its something more monetary.
There are mechanisms there, but they only work when the people watching them are invested in helping the citizens.
While I do use a USB-C phone, the thing I miss most about the audio jack is a wired audio connection that doesn't remove charging or require a separately purchased dongle.
they could keep one for themselves if they soldered the three of them for me.
According to this post, the payment was arranged to be if the soldering job was done. The post then goes on to say that not only did he not solder the parts, he damaged them so they cannot be soldered by anyone else.
The other person did not fulfill his part of the agreement, so he has no right to the compensation.
While there is speculation that him leaving was related to this, there's no confirmation, and chances are it was a different reason. Personally I suspect it was related to his substance abuse issues and his frequency of lashing out at trolls online. The breakup and restraining order were both this year, and DV is VERY often hidden in plain sight. Most people who interact with DV victims are completely unaware, because most people who commit DV are very good at being charming when they want to be and the victims are usually too afraid to let the people around them know.
In my experience, 6 players is doable but pushing it. Turns take a long time, and balancing is hard because there is so much overlap in strengths and they can focus so much damage that significant monsters/enemies don't stick around very long unless you fudge their health pools.
Be careful, People have seen their post deletions being undone. Some posts that were restored were deleted as much as a decade ago. It appears to be manually chosen subreddits getting restored, but it's something to keep an eye out for.
My current campaign has Me: Halfling Divination Wizard who is really wanted to be a Necromancer, a Human Paladin who is staunchly anti-religion, a Human Rogue(Homebrew Alchemist subclass)/Wizard whose alignment is Chaotic/Asshole and who has a tendency to be receptive of Devil deals, a Half-Orc Barbarian/Druid who has a phobia of Orcs, and a Kalashtar Eldritch Knight.
We just hit level 14, and my Wizard has started looking into how to make himself immortal.
Considering one of the things they are removing is a talk show that he hosted that lasted for multiple seasons, yeah. kinda.
Because the majority of them are elected by the community that they serve. The rest are assigned by the current sitting state government. While this does result in politically aligned judges, in theory it ensures that the judges align with the current desires of the population. In practice, the whole thing is so twisted, convoluted and corrupted that it's just a nightmare.
I seem to remember many more references in there than that video shows.
Based on the actual article, I think I can clarify what they were trying to title this.
Portland's Voter-approved Ballot initiative (which was to install a Police accountability board with oversight), has the police oversight board (Which was tasked with implementing the law) suggesting scale-backs and reduced anti-corruption measures.
Those are Rookie numbers. Got 67 tabs on mobile, and 6ish windows with 30-50 on my laptop. Not sure how many are on my desktop, but it's spread across 3 browsers.
Haven't had a character die in a long time, as I am mostly a DM by this point. But my most memorable one was back when I was playing 3.5, we had a TPK, that was entirely the fault of 1 player.
He had died last session (self-inflicted) and was bringing in a new character. We were in deep caves, fighting goblins and their kind, and he decides that his new character was to be a drow. This would be the perfect place for him to show up, because Drow love caves, right?
Unfortunately his first action in combat is to try to get himself advantage by casting darkness on the bonfire in the middle of the room we were in. What he didn't consider was
a) All other light sources had been snuffed out by a goblin ambush that we were currently fighting
b) he was the only PC with darkvision.
c) Darkvision doesn't see through magical darkness.
Needless to say, we were slaughtered pretty quickly and he shrunk off in shame.
I keep seeing people mention clicking on Communities, but I don't see that. Am I missing something?
My top bar has "All, Subscribed, Moderated, Favorites, and then a bunch of magazine suggestions. I don't see Communities anywhere.
Edit: Just noticed that this is a Lemmy threaed, is it because I am looking at it via kbin and the communities tab is only in Lemmy? This fediverse thing will take some getting used to.
thanks for using Leebra!
