Anyone else noticing the similarities between the new pro-Elon anti-Trump statements and the old pro- Trump anti-Harris statements?

I'm guessing a lot of this is Elon's troll farms at work.

Those were progressive Republicans. The party Lincoln started was progressive at the time.

The current Republican party is conservative, but that wasn't always the case.

I think the proliferation of videos as primary information sources is a huge part of how propaganda and disinformation became so effective and powerful. It's why we've done a collective nosedive into regressive politics and can no longer agree on the objective facts regarding.. well.. anything!

Information delivered by video tends to be trusted on the way it's delivered rather than the content itself. So we're thinking less critically about what we choose to believe.

Expanding on this it could be that women deal with catastrophe (e.g. SA/rape) much earlier in life so later catastrophes are perceived as imminently survivable.

For some people last in line is the best spot. Think about it: everyone else is getting pressure to get done and get out. No pressure for the last guy, and fewer people watching.

I recently built a 3D printer where the entire community for it lives on Discord. Their website instructions are horrifically out of date because all of the current changes have been discussed at some point on Discord. What should have been a 2-4 day project turned into a 2-3 week project due to the garbage involved in trying to strain information out of a massive multi-channel group chat with terrible search.

That looks like it might be a baby stinkpot (S. Odoratus)! They're a kind of mud turtle, so marshes are their happy place.
Baby snappers have long tails, but it could also be one of those that lost its tail.

Why would there be? The first time Trump won it was when an unlikable Democrat ran. Anyone trying to teach the DNC to run better candidates by voting for Trump is just shooting themselves in the face.

Memmy has a broken implementation of instance filtering that currently needs to be configured on every startup, but it exists. Hopefully it will eventually be meaningfully functional. Precisely for the instance you mentioned.

This is something I'm currently struggling with. I rent a house and the roof is leaking in two different rooms. Problem is that last time I had the landlord do any repairs he increased my rent by $300 a month. I know that having a leaky roof is damaging his property, but it's only a minor inconvenience for me at the moment.

I'm not about to spend an extra $6,000+ a year just to preserve his property when I can keep it from bothering me with a tack, some string, and a pitcher for the water to go into.

How was anyone supposed to know that Christians secretly adopted long tables as a holy symbol and that gathering behind them is now a sin?

I hadn't thought about it until reading your comment here but I accidentally raised my GenZ kids this way. If I hadn't done this I never would have seen my eldest heading down the misogynist edgelord path and intervened.

The only decent computer in the house was in the living room, and they had clunky retired elementary school computers in their rooms running Linux and Open Office so they could work on homework (no internet, USB drive to save homework and send from family computer). It wasn't because I sought to keep them from using the internet privately, it was because we couldn't really afford better.
