now we can't even us reddit anymore

do NOT let them sleep in their car, there's a real risk they could die if from asphyxiation. Here in Mexico there were blackouts from the record heat and there was a family who slept in their car for the ac. They unfortunately all died

facebook is exactly what you described, although I assume it's still profitable and keeping meta afloat

maintaining servers is a lot more affordable when your website isn't bloated with tracking and unnecessary features. It's not realistic for a corporation to buy up a significant chunk of the fediverse anyways

or enable flatpaks >:)

I bought a Redmi Note 11 pro last year and it's a great phone! Really though, buying new phones every year is something only well off people can afford (or people who are ok getting into lots of credit card debt). There really is no point right now, newer phones just aren't that much better and in fact smartphone sales worldwide are slowing down exactly because everyone who wants a good enough smartphone already has one. My current phone does absolutely everything I need, in fact it's much more powerful than my first laptop ever was, I can emulate most retro consoles, watch uhd videos, use any app I need, listen to all the music I want, I can even do things like use microsoft office on it. I don't need a new one, this works just perfect for me. The only thing that would make it better is to get it rooted so I can install a custom rom and get rid of xiaomi's bloatware infested android rom

maybe we need a trans related sub lemmy

definitely have to endorse the Linux Experiment's channel, nick definitely has the most sane linux channel out there lol

I can also think of some terrible subreddits that were banned that should never exist again

honestly reddit has been in decline for years, I really hope the fediverse continues to expand that's the only way to put a stop to enshittification

I havent deleted my reddit account, but Im using reddit a lot less now

ehh when have we seen EEE happen to anything FOSS though?

defending an evil regime because somehow putin is communist and deserves to be defended in this?

using winget is a much safer and faster way to install new software. yes command prompt seems intimidating but it's super easy, you don't need 1337 hack0rz skillz to use it

what does that have to with neoliberals lol

nuclear war isn't the necessary outcome of ww3
