An appealing but dangerous path. If they're that rich, what happens to you when the husband finds out? What happens when the woman finds out your origins, or if she gets bored or scared?

There is a distinct possibility she says "I love you" because you treat her like a human being rather than a payday. It's quite possible you are on a very short list of people who have done so. Whether you continue treating her that way or not is a question you have to face.

You are already deep in this situation. Be mindful that it will change, likely against you. Be careful and cover your ass. Consult with a lawyer, preferably from her own jurisdiction. At minimum review the contract terms with them and figure out your rights and liabilities.

I'm not saying don't do it, just to be cautious. Plan for as many outcomes as you can. It very likely is the best chance you'll have to climb the socioeconomic ladder in a world hell-bent on preventing you from doing so. Her wealth is pillaged from your peers and her privilege from a system designed to insulate the rich from the consequences of their actions. Just realize you will also be key with the consequences of your actions as well and you are far less insulated from them.

Best of luck.

No, my responses are literally "AI answers, legwork teaches." If you don't understand or appreciate that difference you are doing yourself a disservice.

What is your use case for LLMs?

My mindset is all-or-nothing because I have yet to find a use for LLMs. Enlighten me, please.

I think needing multiple searches and sources is a good thing, personally. Yes it takes more time and effort but it reinforces research skills. Performing the search yourself provides an opportunity to critically evaluate the information you're finding and, if applicable, take into account any bias a source may have.

Can't comment on code generation.

I suppose it depends on the Linux difficulty but reading through documentation and ArchWiki typically gets me enough info to make a more informed/refined search. You're also likely to stumble across information you'll want to know rather than just find an answer to the question you're asking.

A locally run LLM is a different story, one that I'm slightly more open to, but "trusting" any corp is how we got here. To me degoogling isn't just about moving away from Google but about removing myself from any nonessential service and limiting the data I share with essential services.

I also just plain don't know what I'd use any LLM for.

I see where you're coming from and agree that modern search engines are trash. Have you tried the alternate search engines suggested in the first comment? I would personally try those first I suppose.

I think some of the dissent in the comments fail to consider some of the nuances in this interaction. If this specific kind gesture isn't appealing I have two alternatives to suggest.

I keep a bunch of bottles of water in my backseat and two in my glovebox to hand out to people asking for help at traffic lights and such.

Goodwill and other thrift stores generally have books for pretty cheap. Easy to fill a shopping bag for $20. I mostly aim for beginner level novels and young adult fiction and put them in the free neighborhood libraries. Satan knows we need more children reading.

There are ways to non-destructively test for cracks and voids in various structural elements. Planes already go through very stringent inspection and maintenance cycles so various physical factors will already have a well-established baseline to compare to.

Some speculation; the damage may be far less than you'd think. Aircraft are (generally) designed to fail gracefully and the front landing gear is a mechanism that sees a lot of force during landing. I can't tell if the assembly folds back into the landing gear bay or if it penetrates the fuselage without collapsing.

A whole sack of shit went wrong if the fuselage fell directly onto the gear assembly but if the landing gear "simply" folded back into the bay it could be a relatively easy repair. Airframe loading is extremely well-characterized and engineers are already running the numbers on what forces went where.

All that said; fuck McDonnell-Douglas. Boeing "acquired" them back in the 90s. Somehow the MDD board of directors (comprised of businessmen) took over leadership roles formerly held by people with engineering backgrounds. A lot of the failures and poor reputation Boeing has suffered in the past few decades are very likely related to that leadership change.

Looks like it was a test of a suppression system in New York. The jet is an F-16 judging by the single vertical stabilizer over a single integrated engine. I initially found the picture in this fire protection post but the source is probably this Air Force blog post which is now lacking a picture.

Cleanup would've been messy and likely pollute the surrounding area but an important aspect of fire suppression foam like this it that it wouldn't harm the entirely-too-expensive aircraft.

Fortunately* you don't live in Wisconsin.

Born and raised there; a DSA governor is a fucking fantastic step in the right direction. I'll mention her to my family but...

Wisconsin is the south of the north. I regularly drove past a Confederate flag. Milwaukee is the most segregated city in the US (or was, havent checked recently) and the GOP leans into that with a lot of ugly rhetoric.

This article is getting a little long in the tooth but is a quality deep dive into some of the very thinly veiled (or outright) systemic racism in Wisconsin.

Also; rural Grindr made me sad for queer men raised in that environment, including myself.
