Have you considered the comment not being serious but highlighting the absurdity of antitrans folks being so incredibly focused on young peoples genitals while decrying others as perverted for wearing clothes that differ from their own?

It is difficult to know where to start, since there have been a lot of unpopular actions. A lot of these are pretty standard for the triple A studios unfortunately. Think DRM with always online and authentication server issues, toxic workplace, decommissioned games by removing the servers for them and not giving ways for people to self host, rehashing existing properties to milk success, having their own launcher so having double layers of authentication, microtransactions, subscription based model pushing, game variants locking out certain content unless more money is payed etc.
She didn't say she was going to be involved in whatever the "next" thing ment. Might have been a heart-felt warning against vigilantes. Also, the "next" thing might well have been "...to get much needed care denied".
Legally this is so flimsy it's a waste of time. Looking at wording from politicians there's way more direct calls to violence which will never be prosecuted. In practice it shows the pull of big corporations with cops, and inconveniences the life of an already inconvenienced person.
So you chose culture over their personal choice and you and your kid(s) have to live with the consequences. That's a pretty sad thing that could be prevented by only allowing circumcision to be performed when medically necessary.
4chan will sue the UK trying to hold them responsible for UK law, in US court. Foreign judgement limiting freedom of speech. Seems to be in line with their strategy of not being an UK company so not paying fines: "Your laws don't apply to us. Hell, they aren't even constitutional!".
There's been years of memories build up and it's hard to be flexible with those links in the brain. But he should at least put in an effort.
Honest question: Have you had an open conversation with him or did you criticise and put him on the defensive? I hope you can find a habit trigger to flip in him that reframes the memory before voicing it. Like thinking it through with your sister actively in his mind. It's likely a subconscious thing that he needs help with.
The title is bad, since Russia gets 150 cm of snow on a average every year. For this to be decades worth of snow you'd have to find 20 years of really light snowfall. It's comparing 50 vs 3000 and saying 50 is larger. For this to be the heaviest snowfall in decades makes a lot more sense.
So he would only need to sell 20 to 40 of the most expensive yacht he owns for a fab. Gabes yacht fleet is estimated from a quick search to be 6 yachts totalling 1 billion, which is 1/15th of the most quoted lower price for a new fab.
Edit: to be fair you could use ram made with DUV machines at 1 to 5 billion, which at the lower end would be all of Gabes boats. Likely this would yield 4 to 8 GB DIMMs.
Current way to search on google for me is: Add reddit to search string, and set data to before may 1st 2023 Copy link suggested by google and change reddit to reveddit or any of the alternatives there
Results will go out of date but maybe this will tide me over until a good lemmy search is up and running.
But the original law still exempts name change by marriage . To me it feels like name changes not on official public record should be the target, as in a deliberate pseudonym. Still, what fits under that umbrella? Your twitter handle, if it isn't your legal name would fit, but no one included that since the law was written.

On paper all bots act the same? What does that even mean? Adding just a bit of randomness to the code, different hardware and the massive amount of permutations a 3D game offers and I'd like to see you try. First bots were really stupid, but with detection evolving so have the bots and cheats. There is one way to reliably get all of the cheaters: accept a lot of collateral, i.e. non cheaters getting banned.
Because they ask for location dependent help without mentioning where they are from in the non localized AskLemmy. Easier to assume and in the 1% case of not being right you might receive a reply with the actual country. Same as asking for it and waiting for a reply, but worse in 99% of the cases.
