It was worse than what the picture shows.

There's a bunch of videos on Twitter/X showing how they pushed her into that position, turned her around, and hauled her off before cuffing her and detaining her. She was thankfully released later, but this is just far too much. All of it is.

This was the worst possible outcome. Unless someone intends on finishing the job it may as well be his election now.

He'll spend the rest of the election telling people how strong he is, how Biden could not have survived and he'll use the attack to validate all his claims of Democrat corruption/Republican righteousness.

The law suit isn't what matters. He's got a massive collection of those already and it won't matter until it all eventually catches up to him assuming he fails to get elected.

What matters is that if he pissed Taylor off enough she might actually endorse Harris openly. We know she leans blue but she's refrained from open endorsements. Her fans are absolutely crazy and she could probably sway a bunch of Republicans easily. This is great.

You flatter me. I don't really know how to take it like that. This is just two people being themselves. We haven't done anything wrong besides being incompatible in certain ways.

And I appreciate the kind wishes, I'm not sure if I'll try later. She is one of the only people in the world I can say I have ever felt comfortable being vulnerable around and I'm not sure that I could build up that trust with anyone in the future.

If only I lived in a swing state. Then my vote could have meaning and I could get paid for it.

Must be great to live in one of the seven states that's allowed to decide our election thanks to the electoral college.

Man, people on lemmy need to look outside of their own bubbles a little more. There's more than just those in my camp and those against my camp.

There are uninformed voters who genuinely do not pay as much attention to politics as those of us on this platform do. Uninformed voters exist and they are influenced by the big headlines like this.

This is why other factors regarding a candidate such as whether or not they are likeable matter. It's not for me. It's not for you or any other hardline party entrenched voter. It's for them, the ones who barely pay attention.

I'm not complaining but I'm genuinely wondering if the dnc has been holding this woman back. I feel like I haven't seen this fire coming from her before and I'm loving it.

Bernie is such a good guy. The Dems have done him dirty so many times, they are currently continuing to support many harmful policies but he understands what's at stake and he puts all of that aside to do the best he can.

He doesn't have to do this. He's 83 years old and while his cognitive health is outstanding for his age, someone his age doesn't need to be on this grind for us. He probably won't stop until he's forced to due to his health. I love the guy and it's a shame we weren't given the chance to see him take the presidency.

My current girlfriend is cool with it, but she's absolutely fantastic about pretty much everything.

One of my exs on the other hand was a bit more aggressive and weird about it. She had a lot of toxic masculinity beliefs going on.

The real issue I have is that a lot of them think its hot, along with some of the other things I may have been into at one point. It's a bit of a struggle to explain that I'm not asking for more, I'm just being transparent to avoid a potential bombshell being dropped in the future. I don't have the energy for a polycule, to bother with a third, or anything in the lifestyle anymore.

I really don't have anything to say here that hasn't been said already.

I'm just genuinely disappointed and tired of this nonsense. The statement isn't accurate and even if it was, that's a complete non-issue.

He's surprisingly right, even if he is part of the problem.

The current political climate in this country can't last into the long-term future. I dislike the idea of conflict but many of the current right's ideals simply cannot coexist with those outside of their cult. The right has also been more aggressive about dismantling the country in several areas as a means of takeover. They really do see this as a battle or a war.

Turing aside, the world simply treated gay people horribly altogether.

Gay men were victims of the holocaust much like many other groups but Germany wouldn't recognize this until 4 decades later in the 1980s. We know what the British did to Turing but the U.S. acted similarly due to the Lavender Scare which compared gay people to communists and enacted its own witch hunts for them.

The comments are quite saddening, and also quite worrying.

This isn't to put women's issues down, but men have problems too. There's a reason why young men turn to these grifters and get manipulated by them.

Even above all of that, assuming you don't agree, it's a problem. We're building up generations of uneducated and toxic men led by these role models. We can't just shrug that off and say it's not our issue, because at some point it is going to be our issue.

It's a shitposting meme. The poster has this pinned on their twitter:

That said... I have heard horror stories about poor theater staff finding cucumbers after the 50 shades premiere. Some of it was just people memeing and trying to prank but I'm not entirely sure about all of it.

"Somehow it's ok for people to chuckle about not being good at math. Yet if I said, 'I never learned to read,' they'd say I was an illiterate dolt." - Neil deGrasse Tyson

It's been this way for a long time now unfortunately.

I'd be worried if he wasn't getting backlash. Actually, I'm still worried because there clearly isn't enough backlash.

We all know what he's insinuating.
