Always call the closing attorney's office before initiating the wire transfer on closing day. Back when I closed, I called their office and did a read-back on the wire information they had sent to make sure it was genuine. Once that money is wired there's no take-backs

I noticed that too and I dumped Chrome for FF on every machine I use as soon as I read about this

If they could fix these issues via OTA then they wouldn't be forced to do physical recalls. They've had windshields fly out of their frames at highway speed, steering wheels come off, catastrophic lower ball joint separation, vehicles leaving their factory with missing brake pads...software updates only take you so far

Nice work with everything so far, really liking it. What all is being changed/fixed in the new revision? Is it just more efficient code to support higher site traffic?

It's funny that even though theft rates have plummeted since the mass software upgrade, premiums have stayed high. They have savant-level mathematicians (actuaries) evaluating risk and even with compelling data showing otherwise, they choose to keep labeling these cars high risk and continue to charge exorbitant premiums.

While it's probably true that there are people who might struggle with porn, there are plenty of people who struggle with addictions of all kinds - alcohol, gambling, opiates, etc.

But there are certainly valid questions that come up with stuff like this:

  • Is the government's place to enforce a mandatory 18yr age requirement to view porn?
  • If so, what kinds of unintended ramifications are possible from imposing such a requirement? I can think of quite a few, but I'm curious what others think.
  • Could it be argued that this is an attempt to legislate morality or impose censorship?

I think that these are fair questions and perhaps the meat and potatoes of the issue lies a bit deeper than anyone's sole opinion on whether porn is "bad for you" or not.

This is an industrial winding / reeling machine. Used for reeling up product made using a continuous extrusion process. 30,000ft of product fit on a single reel.

It's the blue machine on the right with the 8020 clear guards on it

You were correct. It was indeed an improperly done piece of kick flashing at the very bottom near the gutter

That sucks. The controller that came with my Xbox S randomly developed stick drift so bad it was trashed. I got maybe 10 hours of use out of it.

I bought a third party controller with digital stick encoders to prevent the problem because Microsoft refuses to fix their controller design.

Oh well guess I'm disabling console updates now

iirc the only method of faster than light travel that doesn't violate laws of physics involves warping spacetime. We can now detect ripples in spacetime, and scientists postulate that in the far future it might be possible to manipulate spacetime by warping it with technology not currently in existence.

Of course you could argue this method isn't really faster than light travel, since you're actually bending the distance between you and the destination.

I will say overall that this community has been largely much more positive and troll-free than Reddit. We'll see how long it lasts, but man it's been nice

Good point on the rafter tail. I'll look in the attic in that area to confirm.

Yeah there's flashing above there and it's possible this is the source of the leak.

I'm afraid what I'm going to have to do is take all the siding off above here to expose the flashing and inspect it and repair. Then to remove and fix the rot I'm gonna have to take everything apart to get into that area behind the soffit - remove the gutter, fascia, etc to gain proper access

Paying it off is only half the battle. If we don’t answer the question how did we get here?, we’re doomed to fall right back into this hole. Fact is, the government simply burns through money like it’s going out of style and until we elect representatives that use our money more responsibly, we’ll keep piling on more debt.

You can only rack up so much of it before foreign holders of US bonds start liquidating their positions or buying less of it. Once that starts happening en masse, all the cards will fall and it will be ugly.

I second this. I tried Thunder but Memmy seems way more fluid and I think the UI is honestly much better. Very Apollo-esque
