My cooking. I love to cook, be it simple meals or extravagant dishes, and everyone I know loves to eat my food - which is exactly why I'd never ever do it professionally. • My rent was raised by ~100€ over the last two years
• My electricity bill is 30€ higher now, too
• My food expenses exploded to about an extra 200€ per month, even though I pay more attention to prices now and go for me-too-products whenever I can
• Not to mention the countless other things that got more expensive (heating, water bills, insurance, clothes etc.)

Meanwhile, my salary increased by a little more than 100€ in that same time span. And you're telling me people can't afford decent meals? Oh I fucking wonder why!

The whole "the world will end in 2012" hysteria back then. It was my first glimpse into conspiracy theories, which I've spent a lot of time learning about ever since. It made me realize that nothing is ever too idiotic to not have an alarming number of people fall for it. It's why I wasn't surprised by the rise of the Q-movement or the resistance against the absolute bare minimum of COVID measures because of microchips in vaccines etc. All of that were just yet additional "of course people believe that shit"-moments for me.

You've got it all wrong! It was actually an incredibly genius move, as the writers knew that after 7 seasons of twists, turns and surprises, the audience wouldn't really be phased by any characters death anymore. We'd become so accustomed to sudden character deaths that watching GoT became the literal incarnation of "expect the unexpected" and you can't shock people who are just waiting for it to happen. So what did the showrunners do? They did the only thing nobody expected, assassinated the only target they knew would still get a reaction out of people after all this time - they killed off the show itself.

Hat bei meinem S22 auch 2 aufeinanderfolgende Notrufe aus meiner Hosentasche gebraucht, bis ich gelernt hab, dass es den automatisch anruft, wenn man 5mal hintereinander die Entsperrtaste drückt. Man sollte diese Funktion doch zumindest nicht als default eingestellt haben, ohne es dem User zu verdeutlichen.

Ich sehe das größte Problem bei den Aktionen der Letzten Generation einfach darin, dass sie versuchen, "das System" auf eine Art und Weise zu stören, die "dem System" komplett egal ist. Wem schadet es denn, immer wieder mal ein paar Straßen für ein paar Stündchen zu blockieren? Den Mega-Konzernen, die unsere Umwelt nachhaltig zerstören? Wohl kaum, das ist für die nicht mal der kleinste Schluckauf. Deren Gewinnmargen sind viel zu gewaltig und das, was sie tatsächlich verlieren, dürfen dann ohnehin nur wieder die Mitarbeiter ganz unten ausbaden. Aber der Durchschnittspendler, der dann vom Chef, dem die Gründe dafür absolut egal sind, eine auf den Deckel kriegt, weil er seinen Dienst zu spät angetreten hat, darf die Suppe dann auslöffeln und als Kompensation unbezahlte Überstunden schieben. Würden sie sich vor den Einfahrten zu Ölkonzernen, Lebensmittel-Konglomeraten etc. feskleben, hätten sie von der breiten Masse um einiges mehr Unterstützung, als wenn sie den Leuten auch noch die Bewätligung ihres ohnehin schon von unserem Wirtschaftssystem zerf****en Alltags abseits ihrer Arbeit erschweren. Ist halt nur leider weniger Medienwirksam, wenn man sich dort anklebt, wo die Botschaft auch ankommen soll, weil es keine 10 Minuten dauern würde, bis man sie wieder entfernt hat, wenn sie anfangen, dort anzuecken, wo es die mit den tiefen Taschen tatsächlich stört.

Die ganze Prämisse geht einfach nach hinten los, wenn die einzigen, denen man auf die Nerven geht, die sind, deren breite Unterstützung man eigentlich bräuchte. Keine noch so teure, augeklügelte, hinterhältige und eindringliche PR-Aktion von BP oder Shell hätte dem Klimaschutz jemals so sehr schaden können, wie diese Gruppierung.
