On the left: when I arrive home from work. On the right: when I see my gf's boobies after a long day.

Do not forget the VPN was rebadged from mullvad (I think) so it was not even their own stuff

This comment of the lady taking the picture really reminds me of the early Nazi era regime where people were hunting for undocumented Jews. This makes me incredibly sad to see history is repeating itself yet again.

Well little Timmy, since you were SO thoughtful taking the labels out of the cans, you are going to play canned flood roulette for the next week. This means, for an entire week you pick one can at random for your dinner, and you are not allowed to have another food outside of what the can offers. In the meanwhile, the rest of us will eat your favorite things in front of you, while you are in your sad corner eating your can of food. Me and your mother are going to place bets to see how long your spirit lasts. Let the games begin

It uses Linux? That's actually nice to see (but do you really need a full blown OS to show a logo?)

As usual with all of these companies: only believe when you see the changes

I still prefer this version of the meme (which one day I will totally print it and put it on the back of my work laptop)

I still find in general super creepy that anti cheat systems (most of them) insist on having kernel access instead of using, you know, actual statistics and machine learning.

Hey Hoffman, remember the sneezes you had in succession last winter for 2 weeks straight? I asked chatgpt and tells me is brain cancer. Are you going to start cancer therapy ASAP?

PS: for the people that still remember WebMD at the start, they would never trust a machine for full diagnosis, let alone considering this as an option

You may be half joking, but I've discussed this many times with my partner. Society, by today's definition, do not reward at all having kids. However, for a society to keep going you **need ** children, so wtf is supposed to happen? No children, society just grows old at at some point you have a massive decline in the younger brackets? And then is just old folks yelling at clouds? Also, another detail, the mono parental lifestyle we have nowadays is actually quite recent. And I do think is very much impossible to have the expected amount of children on such system

I find great the devs of the respective projects took time to actually tell how things work for gn. Sure, they get the attention because it's a known channel, but on the other hand, Microsoft would never give them this much detail and attention to actually understand what's happening

The biggest problem with this approach is basically Facebook saying that you have to pay for a right, meaning, if the law tells you that you can, and should, always have a say if you are followed around or not, you mist have that capability. What Facebook is doing is put a right behind a paywall, which is absurd

The language used in the entire thing is so off putting. Like they really really want you to believe is for the children. Also, the first country in the world that won't allow children to share pictures of themselves nude? I had to chuckle at that (to be clear, I think children should not operate devices unattended to avoid stuff like this, but that should be parenting, not daddy government)

For me feels someone is chasing a KPI on PSN users that, quite frankly, gives no one but Sony executives satisfaction on bigger number = better number. Steam on that sense made the correct decision to give back the money on people that cannot play a game anymore because of a future requirement (as mentioned by op, not everywhere psn exists). But for me, even if psn is available, you should be able to refuse to further engage on a game based on a future requirement like this and get the money back (same applies if for instance a game all of a sudden has something like denuvo).

So my take away of this is: please, get rid of kpis, it's about time we learn to get away from hard metrics that can be cheated

I can only think of myself inside that thing as a ballast: keep vomiting and passing out until eventually dying (good gracious, just imagine someone made this as a torture device)

I had this problem several times as well. I was told once I should at least extent my hand and be the one starting the conversation. Thing is, if I am doing that all the time and I never have it the other way around, means 2 things: either they don't care enough to even ask how I am doing, and/or take for granted I deal with that.

Most relationships are a 2 way street. You may start the conversation a couple of times, but if you keep doing with 0 payout, eventually falls off.

This also reminds me of the people that only bother to tell something on birthdays (only if it is visible somewhere like LinkedIn or so), and/or Xmas just to give happy birthday/holidays. If the conversation is that short every time (get felicitations and say thanks, not much more), then maybe don't bother saying anything at all. And please, do not only reach out when you have problems. If we didn't talk for years, and you tell me how I am doing just to ask for a favor, please kindly fuck off. Got several time those as well.

There was a piece a while ago of a guy that went to expired domains in Belgium, happened to buy an old domain from the police, and all of a sudden, started to have emails from the police with a mail server. Crazy how no one checked the domain.

Edit: found the URL here. And there was other institutions hit as well, not just police
