I mean, not really. The problem is that it really only works when it's exact and the bullet is intact. Much like fingerprints or partial DNA, once you get below a certain threshold of confidence it's borderline useless. But it still can be a very accurate and useful tool in the right circumstances.

It just looks weird because of the perspective. The camera is basically next to their knee, aimed down the leg and their toes are pointed as well. That "dotted pattern" is just hair folicles.

I looked it up just to be sure, "wet shaving" is basically what you think of with the idea of classic shaving, hot soapy water, then warm lather applied with a brush, and a single blade razor.

It's not so much about the alternative being just dragging a dry cartridge razor across your skin (I hope no crazy people are out here doing that) but moreso about the prep and process of using a thick lather and regularly rinsing the razor blade during the process. It's more time consuming but it's often more comfortable, and a lot easier to cut hairs that have difficult grain/growth patterns

Everyone thinks invaders are saviors at first. Colonizers were welcomed with open arms on their first arrival.

(fyi I am not sponsored, I've just used these and liked them)

I'm in a similar boat, but I've had good luck with just finding clubs and going through meetup. Even if you only go once or twice it's still something new to do.

Volunteering is always a good option too, gets you out and meeting people and you get to help your community. The parks and food banks especially always need volunteers.

And the last one I'll recommend is an app called Timeleft. It's paid ($20 a month) but you get to basically pick from the events they have and either go for dinner or coffee and meet with 6 random others on the app. I like it because there no pressure, it's not a dating app or anything, and you get to just hang with some open minded people for a few hours and chat. Everyone is identified so there's safety with it, and after each event you get to give out (and receive) little impressions like "Who felt the most welcoming", "who was good at leading conversation", "who was a good listener" etc.

Either way, it can feel challenging sometimes, but the options are out there. And as always, don't be afraid to host something and just throw the invites out, worst case people are too busy but most of the time people want to hang out, they just don't want to plan it.

It was hydrogen peroxide. Which is what I said. Although it is 12% not 13%.

(edit because clarity is important, this is only what I have heard, I don't have a source other than some short form content I watched about it that claimed it.)

It was hydrogen peroxide, and from what I remember it was 13% (most of the stuff you use at home is 2%, 13% will burn your skin) so the theory I heard is that it might have been eating away at the paint, or getting between the paint and the actual structural layer and causing it to peel off

Nah, don't even give it credibility of thought. This is propaganda for sure. "Oh the Chinese don't want you to have data centers, give us all your water and electricity so the Chinese don't win pleeease"

China may not want the US to lead the AI races, but don't forget these AI companies are trying to destroy communities in the name of corporate profits.

...what? You're just making the point further. If you don't have wealth, you can't have health. The allegory goes both ways. Take care of yourself, and you'll do better, but if you're in a hole that can be hard to do.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter, the joke works without knowing who it is. But it looks like this was the singer "Jennie" from a Korean Girl Group called Blackpink. A lot of these groups will swap out members to keep the fame and fans of the group but allow talent to move on/retire, looks like Jennie is a new member and she's doing so well because she was able to order her own Porsche. Yay for Jennie pulling herself up by her gold inlaid bootstraps.

As a guy, these apps suck. I've met a few people on them, but it's very obvious that they are deliberately hiding matches and people that are your type behind a paywall. It's not in their best interest to show you people that have the same interests as you, it's better if they bundle them all up and slap a big fat price tag on the front.

People are starting to realize these apps aren't about hooking up or making connections, they're about squeezing desperate people looking for love into giving money for the promise of finding it.

Smurfing on a dating app is a level of masochism I didn't think is humanly possible. Those apps are already soul grinding enough.

May as well rant about it here.

Whenever someone say about trump "But he's a good businessman!" As some sort of defense, I get immediately annoyed. He is an absolute garbage businessman. He has failed or run so many businesses into the ground. He made a casino go broke, you know the business that thrives on basically just letting people come in and throw their money at you and leave?

What he is good at is lining his own pockets. He goes into anything and lies, cheats, and schemes, then shovels as much money into his pockets as he can before someone notices and the bills come due. He makes deals with contractors, then refuses to pay, then drags them through courts until they give up and claims he got a discount. That's not "good business" that's theft. It's despicable and gross.

Every allegory we have for a corrupt, lying, thieving businessman is embodied in Trump. He is not good for business. He's good for himself until the business fails then he moves on to the next persons pile of money to steal.

And that's what he is doing as president. He is selling the country piece by piece to line his own pockets, then once everything goes belly up he'll take his money and walk away.

Fuck Trump.

After reading all the comments about wanting his life to be over and the counters about feeling bad for him etc. I think ive come to a conclusion on how to ethically handle him.

I'm going to laugh. I'm going to laugh at how foolish he looks having a stroke on stage. How despite all of the terrible things he has done to this country on a socio-economic level trying to line his pockets and stay in power, he is standing up there, feeble and barely coherent, looking like he simultaneously shat himself and forgot his name, I'm going to laugh.

Because if he wants any semblance of dignity, any ounce of respect, he needs to admit that he is done and bow out.

"But he is still human, have some empathy" No, why should I? This man has engineered tearing the country apart so he can put his grubby hands all over it and smear it in his own grease. And he is still trying to keep doing it!

What I see up there is an old man trying to walk across the freeway, with a dozen people telling him not to. And he is not only ignoring them but lifting his nose high and walking out into the road anyway. So when I see that mack truck hit him like it did on that stage, I laugh.

There's also a vocal minority of just really pessimistic people on here. Politics I don't mind as long as it's a discourse about not only what is bad but what can be reasonably done about it.

I've been in several discussions where I add "look at community, we are strong together" and it's immediately beaten down with "the world won't change things are shit and always will be, be mad and angry about it, I'm mad and angry at you".

It's the internet, I'm not surprised. But I've definitely had to disconnect myself for a bit some days after severe reactions from people just to remember it's just strangers on the internet.

It's not all the time, but for some discussions that promote inclusion and understanding to be met with the hard "I don't agree so you are human garbage" can be an awful whiplash sometimes.

Just remember, every time your insurance goes up, every time you see teachers stressed and struggling, every time you debate going to the doctor because of the cost.

They said "we can't afford it".

Remember who approves this, and vote their asses out. This isn't a representative democracy, it's been taken over by scam artists favoring their own interests.
