I'm happy with 5, have not kept a phone for that long and I don't really sell them at the end.

Lemmy has a strong bias towards Linux. I wouldn't say Linux is a failed desktop OS (but hey look at the marketshare) but the transition to Linux is not easy for majority of less tech savvy users. I know you guys have setup Debian/Ubuntu for your grandma and it has been working great since, you don't have to repeat that.

As someone who's been trying to move over to Linux for years and fallback to Windows every time I tried, there's always issues I need to troubleshoot, the most recent one would be mixed refresh rate monitors ie. running at 60Hz instead of 144Hz until I made specific change to a config file. And as a gamer, it makes it even harder - I am aware Proton is a thing now and 'most' games work out of the box, I have Steam Deck for my portable needs. Pay attention to the keyword 'most', when it doesn't work, I ain't wanna spend my previous time to troubleshoot so that I can play the game.

As for my Windows 11 experience, it hasn't been that bad. There's no more active prompts for update and restart your computer now or the world will end. UI also looks better with minimal tweaks. Is privacy concern something I should care more? Absolutely, but at this stage of my life, I value more on the consistency and expected behaviour from my PC.

Server use case on the other hand, Linux > all.

Applied couple of jobs, finger cross can progress some of them to next stage.

Big N finally got them, been a good run for the community on coming with all the funky repacks for totk

This is too much, I can't justify the spending anymore. Will only get games that I will actually play going forward. Multiplayer is never my thing so there's that.

shambles

Really keen with the policies they are coming up with

oh wow is Monday, I hate it

Sorc for S1, because tradition. Started D4 with Druid and have stopped playing at level 60. Don't feel like re-roll another character so soon

My first saved post over here. Will check it out later:tm:

hello, from the other side

It is wee bit windy outside today

Your Twitter account got rate limited?

Been procrastinating on loading my AA insurance card details into my BP and Countdown app, guess I don't have to do that anymore

This is awesome, thanks @Dave@lemmy.nz ! I need that infinite scroll for my doom scrolling Will ping the rest of the frontend and update you if they are broke.

No worries, we'll make noise here if any of them goes down. Doubt these 3rd party frontends will have significant impact to the community, if they ever go down :)

Hey uhh - any possibility to have Alexandrite setup here?

Happy vote week(s) everyone

I'm only seeing 10 comments in this thread, instead of 60+
