U.S. will invade/kidnap the leader of South Africa in three ... two ...

As sad as it is, in this case, the press needs to shut the fuck up. Every bit of news is good for Trump. They could have definite proof of him kicking a disabled child or shooting a Maga voter and it would still get him more votes.

So starve him out. Don't give him a platform. Take away what he needs most, the constant attention. Everything else didn't work, so this might be worth a try.

That look. That perfect f u cat look. "Btw, this guy lives here now, too. Whatcha gonna do about it? Get food, peasant!"

Graphene is amazing! Switched from Calyx last week and couldn't be happier. Scopes are the best thing ever. App "needs" to read contacts? Yeah, you can read the one fake contact that the scope allows you to.

Leider leider nur noch teilweise pink. Die braune Pest ist auch dort stark. Grünau ist eben größer als Connewitz 🤮 Aber schön, das Pink noch gewonnen hat.

If billionaires got shot as often as school children, only billionaires would be allowed to have guns within a week ...

German office worker here. It can be the same, or some other way that drives you nuts. My current coworkers are just extremely slow. I mean really. They "work" all the time, but it takes them like an hour to write a short email. I usually get my days work done in an hour or two and then do my own stuff and will still have achieved more that day than the slow ones. So of course, I get more workload because "I get things done". I sometimes even secretly do their work because I like some of them and don't want them fired... The boss is prone to hiring idiots (I mean, look at the people he has, including me), so it's usually worse people coming in when someone leaves.

That said, your or my situation or variations of them are pretty much the norm. If you really want to put the work in, don't look at big offices or established companies. I guess some small places or startup might be the way to go. Or mobile nurse, where you have your own route and patients. And of course, if you like being overworked, there's always Amazon ...

It's more on the funny end, but when it hits, it hits hard.

Civil War. Kirsten Dunst is fantastic in it and Jesse Plemons has an unforgettable minor part. It's pretty bleak and could probably retitled "USA28" by now. But it"s my favourite film of the 2020s so far.

That seems like a hard thing to do, cutting almost all ties. Im happy it worked out for you and you found the life you were longing for. But does the stealth include your husband? I guess not? So (since he's your husband now) I assume it didn't matter to him? How did he react initially?

"... without asking how he’s balancing these projects with the long-awaited sixth and final book, The Winds of Winter, in his A Song of Ice and Fire series."

If only... I might have hopes if he only had Winds to finish. But there's also A Dream of Spring and that will never see the light of day. At least not written by Martin.

I sometimes wonder how far he got, then saw the negative reaction to the end of GoT and went Sod it, I'm not rewriting all of that ...

Just get an older Pixel. I got a 4a 5g that I bought a couple years ago. Still works fine and goes for less than 200 EUR these days.

Came here to post this. Just re-reading the books, finished Drawing yesterday. I'm already so in love with the characters again. Will, once more, be heartbroken by Wizard & Glass. Despite all the shortcomings of the final books, this is just the best King ever wrote. (And I would really love to read the versions of 5, 6 and 7 from the parallel reality where King didn't have the accident. But who knows, maybe he'd never finished the story without it.)

Trump wants Nobel Peace Prize -> Venezuelan gets Nobel Peace Price -> Trump attacks Venezuela

Coincidence? I think not!

This is just like his petty attacks against everybody who "wronged" him, but on a global scale.

She'd probably be the first in line to get anyone praying to Allah thrown off the plane.

"Long days and pleasant nights."

Mad Max, obviously.

Didn't Moffat establish (at Christmas, no less!) that the Doctor is naked all the time and the clothes are just virtual? That explains the change during 13-14 and how the old costume fits a new body with an different build during other regenerations. No idea why they look raggedy after a change.
