@Zagorath @australia I just got a bill for $0, with $88 in credit towards the next bill. Solar + battery is great :)

@ivanafterall I love everything about this - the picture, the subreddit rules, and the way you went out. Brava/o!

@zik @Zagorath me too, so is my husband, and another married couple we are close friends with. So that's five of us at least.

@Ilandar @vividspecter if there was any justice, it would be a retrial of the original charge of raping Brittany Higgins :(

@TheHolm @australia “You can’t build grid on renewables only”

Why the fuck not?

@Zagorath @brisbane What’s a night out? :)

@notleigh @vividspecter only if he'd been arrested as he'd walked out of the court :)

@Zagorath Police commissioner uses clunky TS quote. Needs new PR advisor. New hire is ex-7, and Auerbach's nemisis. It's not clear why that has anything to do with Auerbach's testimony or why he decided to speak up.

@trk @brisbot this is the way ;)

@TheHolm @australia We do not need nuclear at *all*

@Zagorath The best thing is if someone else paid for it to be installed :) We have spent over $20000, although the savings are pretty amazing. The battery is really the game changer, at least here in Brisbane

@ada great photo!

@autotldr @brisbane “unprepared for the transition"
I mean, how much damn warning do they need?

We bought this house in 2007 and have been doing everything possible to reduce energy costs since then. And I’m not a builder. If you’re wilfully ignorant of the facts and the way thing are changing, then you deserve to bear the brunt of your stupidity

@coaxil @trk No, they've misspelled "Life on Mars" :)

@Zagorath @Ilandar really :( https://dingo.news/...

@maniacalmanicmania @Ilandar he could appeal, but he won't

@trk 😝

@trk @brisbane Sympathies. Also have substantial family history of BC, so I have to get the bum cam regularly.

All I can say is that the feeling when you wake up afterwards and it’s all over, is just fantastic :)

Good luck!

@Zagorath @brisbane Oooh that’s a horrible pun :)

@makingStuffForFun @PetulantBandicoot "the grid will only pull from solar if required" You export what you aren't using or storing at the moment of generation. The only question is how much that earns you - or costs you. The electricity has to go somewhere and it's not like you can just let it run out on the ground :)
