Logic. Most people have two eyes. No people (AFAIK) have three or more. Some people have one or zero. That draws the average number down to less than two, making the normal number of eyes higher than the average number.

There's an entire DVD included! Is the installer for LibreOffice really bigger than the 700 MB of a CD? I don't think so. They probably went with a DVD instead of a CD to make space for all the free internet minutes and 3000+ clipart images!
No biggie, but reading the ToS in the app, it states that the app will send anonymous usage data to Google. I've disabled its network access (possible on GrapheneOS), and it works anyway. On this topic, the description in F-Droid reads:
Do I need an internet connection? No, but some functions (like entering your location manually) won't work without one. You'll have to use the GPS or enter a latitude and longitude instead.
In Eternity (the app I use to browse Lemmy), the sidebar is equivalent to the "About" tab of a community.
The quality of content in /r/piracy is shit nowadays when compared to !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com
Makes me WannaCry ☹️
Bad ransomware jokes aside, it actually really does...
But that's only the case for postmarketOS, and not the stock OS, right?
The link is currently dead, but it seems to be the official one.
I couldn't access their crowdfunding page either, so maybe they're dead and gone?
When searching for it, multiple sources mention there's a risk of it being a scam, but it's hard to tell:
Update from 27 January 2025: Beware of possible fraud As user ElCanch0 writes in the comments of this article, there is a possibility that the Nexx or the upcoming crowdfunding campaign is a scam.
On news.ycombinator.com, several critical voices point out inconsistencies. Raddish2 writes in the thread that the Liberux employees listed may not exist (he was unable to find any information online) and that the company address may be an ordinary residential building. The address given is not listed in the public cadastre, although Spain normally lists not only buildings but also their floor plans. However, user InceptTM points out that the people can at least be found on LinkedIn. Another user says that he asked around and found out that some people from the company were involved in the bank fraud of Rodrigo Rato, who was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in 2017.
Source (Digitec.ch)
Another source (Liliputing.com) mentioning the possibility of it being a scam.
It's also possible they just didn't reach their crowdfunding goals, and had to end the project.
If anyone here knows more about this, I'm interested!
Pre-ordering makes zero sense for a digitally downloadable product, since it isn't scarce like physical products can be. Unless the company invents advantages that didn't need to be there, there's no benefit of being in the front of the queue, since eventually everybody can get a copy. Consumers are dumb...
It looks like a cropped screenshot from the repositories view in the Droid-ify app. However, in my Droid-ify app there's nothing wrong to be seen.
You chessed in your pants?
For good measure, let's also mention Kodi's support for 3rd-party add-ons, such as various legitimate (e.g. national broadcasters) VoD services, pirate streams scrapers, live TV (e.g. IPTV or TVHeadend), as well as e.g. Jellyfin/Jellycon. And that's not even all!
Sometimes the russian "ru tracker" has had some very obscure releases that I couldn't find anywhere else. Checking that site is definitely worth a shot. I recommend translating the website since it's in russian. Btw, it's a semi-private tracker, and in my experience you can only use the advanced search functionalities once you're signed up and logged in.
I'm running it without any Google services (on this user profile), not even sandboxed. Would it not work for you when attempting, or have you just seen or heard somewhere that it wouldn't?
So does Stremio
OpenStreetMap?
there aint no thing like a backdoor "only for the good guys"
And why are we even thinking of the oppressors as "the good guys" at this point? Draconian acts like these make them very, very bad actors. I'll even call them evil. Yeah, I've lost all faith in our digital future...
Cream and butter is even better!
Which is French too, and will probably go the same way as RD sooner rather than later...
thanks for using Leebra!
