Reminds me of Future Gadget #08. Only missing the phone and maybe you'll build a time machine!
@lemmy.world
I also got some Mickey 17 vibes. Nothing over the feeling of your bones getting crushed between some heavy machinery while nothing actually happened. But yeah, it's just "dreams", alright? 😅
One of my exes told me all the time, that the meals are missing some salt (literally telling me "all the time you add too few salt, even while I almost oversaturated the meal, just for her), the steak is not "done" enough, fished out all kinds of vegetables... Then she took the salt, goes to the kitchen and cooked the meat again or something else... I find it kind of rude being like that, tbh.
Wait, isn't there an offline copy of a part of Wikipedia? The article Just by yourself a nice printer with enough ink and do it yourself ;)
The one thing which COULD justify it, is technical debt. A programming language not supported anymore or in short-term/mid-term, bus factor, too much knowledge transfer, etc. But yeah, lots of times it's "business as usual" just for "progress" and fancy buzzwords.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a gun nut or at all pro war, but why do they produce multimillion dollar missiles consisting of metal, fuel and explosives for that much for a one-way use instead of using that money to prevent wars? Well, call me a sweet summer child.
Huh? I mean, damn, lots of comments are wild. Just let people breathe a bit. Sometimes I'm also only realizing one or two things after I started talking. Sometimes even mid-sentence. And also, maybe for some people "huh" is just an instinctive reaction they burp out randomly. Also I go with the "what's huh after all" comment. Maybe they just abstracted the meaning of it in those simple letters. Maybe "huh" means a world to them
