Not to be a Debby Downer, but you'd either need a LG TV which is already rooted, or one you can root (per the repo's README, "RootMyTV is unlikely to work on firmware released since mid-2022" and given firmware downgrades are impossible...).
AFAIK firmware updates are opt-out by default, so as long as you connect your LG TV to internet, you're likely to have received one, but I could be wrong.
To be fair, Heroic already use their GitHub repo to track issues.
I agree with you that Discord shouldn't even part of the equation to begin with, but it's become so prevalent everywhere that I imagine it's hard for devs to fully bypass.
That's mostly true, except for games made specifically harder so that you'd have to rent them multiple times (eg: ActRaiser 2 NTSC-U/C / SNES is much harder than its NTSC-J / SFC counterpart).
Maybe? You would need to know rooting a TV is even a possibility in the first place, I had no idea that was the case and I've had my LG TV for over 4 years.
I'm just pointing out some specifics of the prerequisites, which the article did a pretty bad job of highlighting imo, and how this is not the miraculous solution it's somewhat touted to be.
I would probably recommend Bazzite as a gaming (and user-friendly, in many ways) OS alternative instead of Pop!_OS.
It is very simple to set up and use, and comes with multiple gaming-related tweaks by default.
And still no OLED screen... why Framework, why?
I got one of the latest Framework 13 a couple months ago for work, and while I'm happy about the prospects of future repairability and upgradability down the line, it's not a great laptop given its pricepoint.
The build is subpar, with the screen flexing a ton, the keyboard and trackpad are lacklustre and pretty uncomfortable, but the worst is the screen, it's dim, with poor colour reproduction and 3:2 is frankly not for me. And fractional scaling is a mess with XWayland, while it was much better on my 2019 XPS 13.
I love what Framework are pushing for and actually achieving, but tradeoffs are very much at play. I'm hoping for an OLED screen replacement in the near future though.
It looks like Mauril is an app developed by CBC and (partially) funded by the government.
If you're looking for more resources, specifically in-person, Alliance Française is in multiple cities across the country and offers more advanced lessons AFAIK.
And if you're a PR, classes are offered by the government, fwiw.
In the same vein, this YouTuber did their own testing/comparison last year.
Yep, completely fair.
They mention:
How long will DeckHD support the custom BIOS firmware?
We plan to continue providing BIOS firmware support for the foreseeable future. We are also optimistic about having the opportunity to work together with Valve to release official BIOS which natively support the DeckHD screen.
Which sounds to me like they haven't reached out to Valve and there's pretty much no chance of that (EDIT: official BIOS support) ever happening.
Many options exist, depending on your budget:
There's also a handful of other options (GameCube GB Player, SNES Super GameBoy, etc), but that's likely more consoles and accessories for you to purchase so I didn't mention those in detail.
I recently installed ME:LE on Linux, directly via the EA app (got that game for free years ago), and the game runs flawlessly so far, so I believe you'll be fine running it via Steam. FWIW I'm also running AMD hw only, albeit on Fedora.
What happened is the province made short-term rentals only legal for primary residences and secondary suites.
That sure helped some, but you can still find airbnb/vrbo listings in Victoria.
I can't speak to this backlogging website specifically, it's one among a fair number of somewhat similar offerings, but I've been using Backloggd for a couple years now.
What these apps/sites ultimately help with is getting your gaming library in check, if you also end up buying far too many games every time there's a sale or if you want to keep track of your physical collection (although there are better sites for that).
Depending on the site's focus, you might also get average completion times per game or user reviews.
I've actually found myself more interested in the "social" aspect of backloggd, eg user reviews (and making my own), ratings, user-made lists, because they've helped me discover games I wouldn't have otherwise given a chance to or even heard about.
I'm slowly continuing my playthrough of Divinity: Original Sin II and absolutely loving it.
I also recently bought Stardew Valley, finally, and started playing it a bit.
Last one, Mushihimesama as the c/shmups Game of the Month.
thanks for using Leebra!
